My wife apparently heard somewhere of an attempt on AOC's life--she doesn't seem to remember where--nothing on FR

Maybe AOC was suffering PTSD thinking it was last-call at a Bronx bar.

If not this week, maybe next week or the week after. The socialists have signed up to play a pretty rough game. I’m sure they did a risk/reward analysis before they signed up.

Yes, so she doesn’t “have to debate Republicans”.
Wouldn’t it be joyous if we were all “The Exalted and Unquestioned Ruler of Earth”?
My first act, were I in that office, would be to require actual paper towels in all public restrooms, instead of those damned blowers.
What if you have a little kid with some kind of biological mess? What good is one of those blowers? Are you supposed to do your best with water and your hands, and then hold the child’s buttocks in the air stream to dry things up? What is wrong with humanity?

I just checked and the 2/3 vote is stated in the Constitution—but as I continue saying, not that the RATS care a whit about the Constitution—so they cannot just change a rule and vote them out. But if you're going to violate the Constitution by making DC a state, what's to stop them from violating the expulsion clause?

I think, that they think that they can make a state out of D.C. without violating the Constitution. I don’t think they can, but what do I know? But there will be a challenge if they try to do it.
Puerto Rico is another case entirely. They just require a simple majority in both houses and the President’s signature.
As to expulsion, it takes 2/3rds majority and the kicker is that there is nothing to stop the expelled member from running for the now vacant seat. SCOTUS has ruled that they cannot refuse to seat him if he wins reelection.
