Nobody is going to be in DC on inauguration day, including most Democrats. It will be a virtual event. Even the president elect will be virtual (in his mind, too, as well as in body and spirit).
At least the counter-inaugural communist-designed demonstrations and events were interesting. Got to hear Phil Ochs sing, which communist Dave Dellinger direct the affair with Maoist Abe Weisburd at his side, and the Yippies wanted “The Realist” publisher Paul Krasner to get “nekked” and dance with them in the big tent on the Mall. At 34*F he declined, saying something about “SHRINKAGE”.
Turns out my colleague from work was there, nearby, and fainted from the crowded conditions. I think my future wife was around there somewhere too, enjoying the partying. It was very crowded in there, at least according to my memory and color photos.
