When the oil light indicator lights up on the dash its best to not keep driving.

Completely preventable. Capitalists can build nice things, but socialists can’t maintain them.

Barbarian HO’s indeed.

They are the living results of the same “Higher Education” fools that were tasked with the operation and maintenence of the Space Radar.

Result: The Space Kadets...

It was the WORKING tax payer that was tasked with having to pay to build it.

Was this used in a James Bond film?

Yup. There are some letters from a Gallo-Roman nobleman from the middle of the 6th century that survive where he complains he can’t get the baths at his villa fixed. That’s because with the collapse of urban civilization you lose the technicians who know how to keep the infrastructure running, like plumbers and masons. He also complains he can’t travel without a retinue of bodyguards because of bandits. Just like many major American cities.

Funny how the steel cable supported suspension bridge in Sanfransisco has not “suddenly” deteriorated to destruction in a hundred years.

Its called maintenence and responsibility.

Something adults do.

Then I read that it was being run by "national champions" UCF and it made sense. LOL

You mean the folks that brought us the "Affirmative Action Bridge" collapse?

When the oil light indicator lights up on the dash its best to not keep driving.

A few layers of duct tape will fix that problem.

It looks like the cables holding the thing up snapped (or were cut).

There was some gloating here when the floods threatened the Three Gorges Dam. I think schadenfreude is mutual.

Big deal. The USA still leads the world in gender fluid studies.

I flew over the thing in a light plane several times in the early 1970s. It was very impressive from the air, but I was told by people at the PR Nuclear Center in Mayaquez that it was already obsolete, at least in theory.

If just one percent of the recent hurricane relief (much of which was siphoned off to corrupt causes) had gone to the dish repair.....
