We had an absolutely HOF NBA announcer for the Sonics named Kevin Calaboro.
When Payton and Kemp would run the stuffing out of the opposition and Kemp would just thunder-dunk Calaboro would call out ‘Frying chickens in the barnyard!’
The afterburner thing made me think of that and laugh. Miss the Sonics here in Seattle. They really were a great team at the time - back when I was watching the NBA before the 2000-2001 strike.

Aikman and Buck both owe their viewers a more full explanation of exactly what they meant by their comments.
If they are not critical of flyovers, they need to expressly state that they want them. If they are not supportive of a Kamala-Harris ticket that would eliminate flyovers, they need to clearly state that. If they are opposed to wasteful government spending in other areas that have nothing to do with flyovers, they need to state that.
The Phoenix Suns announcer Al McCoy used to say “Sha-Zam!” every time a Sun hit a 3.
It's not for the vets, it's for the youngsters who don't get to see awesome examples of American freedom, determination, and ingenuity. It's needed more and more since flight pattern restrictions make seeing a military jet a rarity for most civilians.
Now, endorsing the NFL with a flyover needs to stop. If you're not going to fly low enough and fast enough to have a shock wave shatter the windows of the broadcasting booth where the anti-Americans are preaching their Communist propaganda and the owner's box who supports them, you're doing it wrong.

I am a US Army veteran, I say it IS a waste of money. Sure, it is flight hours, but how about making the training more like combat and real operations flight hours.
