Get her another and when she is gone, take the dog into your home.

She needs another dog.

Make explicit arrangements to care for the dog if she becomes ill or dies. That will ease her mind.

People say they don’t want another pet but that’s not true. They do want that companionship and comfort. A dog doesn’t care how old you are or what you look like or what money you have. You’ll never have a truer or more loyal friend.

When nothing else makes sense, a dog is a reason to get up and get moving and keep eating.

Dogs are reliable. Always concerned. Never impatient or bored. They never get tired of your stories. They love your TV shows and books.

Get her a dog.
