Pennsylvania has cast off hundreds of thousands of applications for mail-in ballots ahead of the 2020 election, because of confusion about the process.
About 372,000 requests were rejected, as reported by ProPublica on Friday, largely because many of them, about 90%, were duplicates. Overall, one out of every five requests for mail-in ballots are being rejected, according to the publication.
The main reason? Many people who voted during the June primaries may have already checked a box to request a mail-in ballot for the November election.

That is a lot of people "accidentally" voting multiple times.
And they probably catch only a small percentage of them.
“That is a lot of people “accidentally” voting multiple times.”
Uh, how do they vote without ballots?
Pennsylvania, great state led and ruined by the Democrats. Perhaps this time the sane voters will clean house like Hercules cleaning the Augean Stables but with nuclear bomb votes.
A lot of this story isn’t laid out....partly because of incompetency on the part of journalists.
Some of these people might be ‘movers’ (people who moved from one county to another in past two years), and got registered a second time while still signed up in the original county.
The system is corrupted, but we’ve known this for fifty years.
It does posit that a good number may be because if you voted by mail last time, you are automatically assumed to have requested a ballot this time. Then if you actually request a ballot, its a duplicate.
