There ya go! Nothing like the smell of burning leafgves in the fall. Plus you get the excellent secondary gain of pissing off the environmentalists. The tertiary gain is a good supply of potash.

Depends on the trees. Mine is a MONSTER willow oak with a gajillion tiny hardwood leaves that don't break down at all. Amazingly slick with any attached precipitation no matter the temperature. Rake? Gedoudahea. Suck 'em up once and toss 'em in the woods.

(Of course, when you're all done with that, blow the leaves into your neighbor's yard or woods, or, better yet, get the kids to do that, if they're big enough.)
