Hahahahahaha!!! That’s a great story...:)
I was a late comer to hockey, moving to New England when I was 15, couldn’t skate and had never even seen a hockey stick before...the guys I ended up hanging around with were fanatics, as were their parents.
His mother was one of the sweetest, quietest women...she had to be in her fifties at the time, wearing a dress in the house, wearing her cats-eye glasses
We used to congregate, and one night watching a Bruins-Canadiens game, Stan Terry O’Reilly was zeroing in on a guy against the boards, and his mother edged to the end of her chair and exclaimed “Kill him!”
I nearly spit my food out! That sweet, meek lady!
I loved it...I had never watched any sports up to that point in my life...
We were so animated, high-fiving, groaning, yelling...for a couple of years, we made these foam bricks, and wrote things on them that we could hurl at the screen...:)
I don’t know how I ever found the time, but...I guess we were burning the candles at both ends!
I used to go into work at 5 AM after getting home from playing hockey at 2 AM and even though I was a young man, I was hurting. My co-workers all told me years later they could tell when I had been up playing hockey the night before...

disclaimer I’m a Bolts fan.
But d’ya think ice-hockey ought to be restricted to north of the Mason-Dixon line???
I know how the neighbors vote...
