What are the alternatives to the Girl Scouts? Which programs offer your daughter the same experience of joining a troop, earning merit badges, growing as a leader, and performing community service as scouts outside of Girl Scouts? Conversely, which programs give your daughter a place to socialize with her peers or further her faith outside of Sunday School?

This article provides a synopsis of several Girl Scout alternatives, listed in alphabetical order, as well as information on each.

Wasn’t a thread like this posted in the last week or two?

I apologize if it is a duplicate. With school back in session for a lot of kids and in-person meetings resuming in some places, I wanted to get the information out.

No problem, I just remember being surprised about the alternatives posted in that thread.

I hope you get the answers again. I searched for the thread but couldn't get any results.

Many churches host Royal Rangers for boys, and Missionettes for girls.

We used to let them camp on our land, from a church in South Dallas. Most had never seen the Milky Way.

Excellent programs.

Yes
Sigh
Here we go again
GS imitations and alternatives
Nicely summarized again

However, if you want the real thing...almost any adult can start a GS troop and lead it with traditional values.
We’re real, and we’re spectacular!

While it is officially a ministry of the Assemblies of God churches, many other churches will use its resources.

My wife taught it for years, and girls will still come up to her and thank her for her dedication to them.

Like all ministries, it needs dedicated leaders and much love.

That’s not a GOOD alternative to girl scouts.

A few years back there was a group of rude girl scouts and a few older women in front of Pavilions grocery store. They asked me if I wanted to buy any cookies and I said no and got a cart and went in. On the way out they were just rude as I said no again and they said a few negative things as I went into the lot to my car. I did not see the scouts the following year at that store but did at others. I wondered if they were rude to other people and complaints followed?
