I remember when Michael hit you. My son-in-law was sent over with FEMA to inspect damages. Like you, he was astounded at the damage with no reporting. He worked several hurricanes thru FEMA and still says that was one of the worst he saw.
That was also his last job for FEMA. He’s a Mr. Fix-It Redneck. Through the years working FEMA he would finish his assigned shifts then go back to help individual homeowners get immediate needs repaired. During Michael he got written up by supervisors for going to help on his own time. The last straw was because an elderly lady had a new washing machine delivered but the delivery guys just left the washer in her driveway. Son told the lady he’d be back that evening to get the washer inside and hooked up.
So his supervisor said if he went back they’d void his home inspector contract. He told them they might as well do it because that lady needed help. So, he took care of the washer, next day they still had work for him. He was over there working several more weeks BUT, to this day they refuse to pay him or reimburse him for his lodging/food expenses for that entire job. So no pay, he missed more than 2 months work at home, and they are out all the motel and restaurant expenses for that time.
You can’t tell me that’s not a bunch of Ovomit holdovers.

Don’t know a dern thing about it but your daughter’s work is clear the best in that gallery at least, just stunning. I have great admiration for people who can visualize such things and then have the skill to turn them into reality. My artistic “talent” is limited to regular polygons and primary colors ;-)
Sheesh, I haven’t voted on the date for a potential FreeQ meet-up because I don’t think we can go. But that Sturgis letter makes me think I need to vote the July date and convince hubby that we need to make it a long vacation, stay for some rally days and support the economy. Haven’t been to Sturgis in 15 yrs. Maybe I got one more long cross country trip in me.

I certainly didn't say that. I just observed that I'm not seeing any significant push back against these governors, mayors and DAs.
The fires are different issue.
And republicans have been losing ground here ever since. It needs to be looked into, drivers licenses for illegals, motor voter and same day registration, all of it.

Statistics don’t lie, Statisticians do. In this case, the Statistics were made up. What? a quarter of a million new cases because a few Biker Scum (I wear that moniker proudly, thank you very much) got drunk for a couple of days.
