A guy named Andy that I went to high school with once told a group of us that as a kid, he ate crunchy-dry dog poop on a dare.
From that point on, he was looked on with a mixture of revulsion, disbelief, and hero-worship. He also became a raving alcoholic by the time he was 20. I often wonder what became of him in later life.
Think of it more like attempting to stop a tornado with a wind blower. Not doing much at all.
Apparently you take pride in being an ignorant fool.
Whats next, dirty up the operating rooms so the surgical patient will have an improved immune system.
And by the way, we dont have to prove your hypothesis wrong, the proponent has to prove their case right. Good luck with that.
What an idiot. The magnet for uneducated, ignorant and clueless people must be on. But then again, FR seems to attract them like a moth to light.
I like to tell my wife: “If the Lord had meant for us to wash dishes, he wouldn’t have given dogs tongues.”
Wow! I can understand disagreeing with the basic question and those responses but this just comes across as overly nasty.
I certainly don’t see my fellow FReepers as uneducated, ignorant and clueless people flocking to some light of ignorance.
A few goof-ups or someone totally missing the point here and there, sure, but don’t we all do that from time to time?
You just havent been reading posts too thoroughly. The amount of nonsense is simply staggering.
You should also pick your nose and eat it.

Big deal.
I use to swim in the Arkansas River in Tulsa...
Out of sync? What does that even mean?
What are the structural, functional, or biochemical changes that take place within macrophages, neutrophils, dendritic cells, T-cells, or B-cells that act as a mechanism for the immune system becoming any less effective when exposed to fewer microbes?
I named my two dogs Prewash and Wash.
(Just kidding)
...steroids and it still took two more weeks ...

Reminds me of a time, maybe 45 years ago when a couple of friends went camping. They were city kids who set up their sleeping bags on poison ivy. They were out a couple of days and, oh, yeah, they also made love on that patch of poison ivy.
Hospitalized, IV steroids and nearly died.
Ha! Nice one. :-)
I’m a retired RN. Everyone should get a thorough physical every 1-3 years. When I worked on a medical floor, it was common to admit these tough old buzzards, often farmers, who hadn’t seen a doctor in decades, sewed up their own wounds, supposedly “never sick a day of my life” etc., but were now full of cancer. They’re tough alright, never complain, even of things they should, but if they’d just had a physical once in a while, they could have found the disease before it was terminal. And just for the record, I was a nurse for almost 30 years, and I couldn’t count on one hand the doctors I dealt with who were in it for the money. (Not saying you think that, but many people who avoid doctors, do.)
Please, don’t say chiggers. They are “bugs of color.”
A nurse I knew worked at a summer camp, and the newbie camp helper was letting all the kids pick big bunches of poison ivy as part of a leaf project. When the nurse saw it, she ran to the kitchen for a bottle of dish detergent, ordered every kid into the lake, and had them scrub their affected parts with dish soap. Not one kid developed blisters.
Do u remember mud pies
Technu helps get rid of urushiol.
Except, last year and this, it hasn’t helped a bit. Calamine does help. A little.
I’m guessing every pond on cattle land is full of raw sewage. Cows are great at relieving themselves while they stand in water. That’s what crawdads and catfish are for -— to eat whatever yuk sinks to the bottom. Which is why God taught the Israelites not to eat shellfish or fish without scales. I’m a firm believer that if we had never fished for bottom feeders, our waters would be very clean.
The most dangerous place for infection is hospitals.
Almost ALWAYS related to poor hygiene (read improper hand washing practices, or poor sterilization technique.
"...and when there was no meat, we ate fowl and when there was no fowl, we ate crawdad and when there was no crawdad to be found, we ate sand."
"You ate what?"
"We ate sand"
"You ate SAND?"
"That's right!"
