I just remember Gary Sinise had pretty much the same costume the whole time but practically ever scene Molly Ringwald would pop up in a different highly stylish shoulder-padded 80s glamour costume like it was written into her contract, Miss Ringwald must be dressed in a manner befitting her A list status.
My warning was unnecessary. No one turns on a microwave without putting something in first. It's not like you need to warm it up.

Here is an article by Jerry Emanuelson, B.S.E.E: Getting Prepared for an Electromagnetic Pulse Attack or Severe Solar Storm
A locking-lid galvanized metal trash can, though, can be a very effective electromagnetic shield. Although it can be very effective, it is less than perfect, so the interior of the body of the galvanized metal trash can should be lined with some material to electrically insulate items stored inside the container from the metal exterior. (Cardboard probably works better than any other inexpensive material for this. Liners such as plastic trash bags may be too thin for this because of the momentary high voltages that could be induced on the exterior of an imperfect faraday cage during an actual EMP.) . . . (contact) may simply conduct the EMP energy into the (protected) device more effectively. This is a page about some of the things that individuals can do to prepare for an electromagnetic pulse attack. I'm an electronics engineer who has been thinking about the EMP problem for more than 3 decades.
Got any wooded land for sale around there? Tarryall, Florissant, lake George. Been looking for 30 acres and up for years.

When I’m asked for a recipe, I always start it with, “Pre-heat your microwave to 350F.”
PeB; I did not see anything.
He is looking at a radar screen. How about a radar sweep that spikes?
Otherwise, who is using the Wepond? The U.S.? The Chinese?
If a DEW I would suggest a satillite, but? Easier to send a Muslim or Chinese Terrorist to set a fire. Less likely to be detected.
Taken from 'Max Richter: The Blue Notebooks'.
(excerpt)
Richter composed The Blue Notebooks in the run-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. He has described it as "a protest album about Iraq, a meditation on violence both the violence that I had personally experienced around me as a child and the violence of war, at the utter futility of so much armed conflict." The album was recorded about a week after mass protests against the war.

"On the Nature of Daylight" has been extensively used in cinema. It appeared in the 2006 Will Ferrell film Stranger than Fiction, Disconnect (2012), directed by Henry Alex Rubin, The Face of an Angel (2014), directed by Michael Winterbottom, The Innocents (2016), directed by Anne Fontaine, the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi, directed by David Gelb,[4] and Togo (2019), directed by Ericson Core.
It is also used on the soundtrack of Martin Scorsese's 2010 film, Shutter Island, in its original form and remixed with Dinah Washington's vocals from her 1960 hit "This Bitter Earth". This remixed version was also used in the closing scenes of "La French" directed by Cédric Jimenez.
It has also been used in the Hulu Original TV series Castle Rock during the ending scene of the episode "The Queen" following into the credits. The BBC used it for their coverage of the centenary of the Battle of the Somme in 2016. In 2019, it was used in a Korean TV series Dazzling during the 11th episode.
It was additionally used in both the opening and closing sequences of the 2016 film Arrival, the use of which disqualified the original score from contending for an Oscar. In 2020 the song appeared in the 35th anniversary of Eastenders.
In 2020 the song also appeared in Episode 6 of the British sitcom The Trip To Greece. The song featured in the 2nd episode of Apple TV+ original series Amazing Stories, released in April 2020.
This part made me perk.
