SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - The Scottsdale Police Department announced on Friday it has arrested six more people in connection to the riots and looting at Scottsdale Fashion Square on May 30.
According to police, 19-year-old Jesus Sierra was one of the first rioters to go into the Apple Store at the mall when the glass windows broke. He got hurt by the broken glass, but officers said they identified him thanks to evidence at the scene. When officers went to arrest him, he resisted and also had drugs and drug paraphernalia on him, detectives said. He was booked into jail on burglary and trespassing charges but he faces more drug charges.

53 people arrested so far for looting...
I guess Scottsdale PD is more busy than LAPD...
I have not heard anything from LAPD in a while about arrests of looters in May...
By the way, the black lady's boyfriend is the guy with the tattoo below the eyes...
Today I saw Scottsdale police arrest one person in their 20’s.
Scottsdale likes their community and don’t take kindly to those who try and disrupt it.
Not a chance the DA is going to drop the charges here.
Scottsdale PD was told early in the evening (~5:30?) that the rioters were on their way to Fashion Square. SPD then closed the mall and had the mall evacuated.
So far so good.
But why were the looters then allowed in?
This mall can be blocked off fairly easy. Close Camelback at 68th from the west and Miller from the east. Close Scottsdale at Chaparral from the north and Indian school from the south.
None of that was done. The next morning, my wife and I drove the area. What we saw was not pretty.
SPD may be redeeming themselves with these arrests, maybe.
Rioters in tony Scottsdale, AZ? What’s the world coming to. Its been over 40 years since I’ve been there, so I imagine a lot has changed.
What a bunch of losers!!!
What, the mainstream media stopped calling them “peaceful protests”?
Can the social medium, which should be closely monitored by enforcement agencies, being used to organize those who participated in these riots be held legally responsible for their activity ?
This was incredibly disturbing. I had given them far more credit prior to this event. This should have NEVER HAPPENED here.
Phoenix and Scottsdale are attracting people fleeing Leftists centers like NYC and LA.
Enforcing law and order will accelerate the process.
Times must be tough for Rhianna.
The Fashion Police.
But will the local DA prosecute...?
Maricopa County is pretty much in the charge of Leftists. We will see.
A few years ago they could have looked forward to living in tents in the pleasant summer weather Phoenix offers, but times and politics change.
