In the weeks before Joe Biden named Sen. Kamala Harris his running mate, womens groups were readying a campaign of their own: shutting down sexist coverage and disinformation about a vice presidential nominee they say is headed for months of false smears and brutal attacks from internet haters.
The groups put the media on notice in recent days that they will call out bias one campaign is dubbed We Have Her Back and established a war room to refute sexist or false attacks as they happen.
They didnt have to wait long. Within minutes of the presumptive Democratic nominees announcement Tuesday, false information was circulating on social media, claiming that Harris had called Biden a racist and that she is not eligible to be president.
The womens groups say their efforts are informed by the sexism Hillary Clinton faced from Donald Trump, some of his supporters and the media during the 2016 campaign.
This time we understand the patterns, and this time we have the organizational infrastructure to push back, said Shaunna Thomas, executive director of the womens advocacy group UltraViolet, which released a 32-page guide for media along with a coalition of groups including Color of Change PAC, Planned Parenthood Votes and Womens March.
While the groups have primarily been led by Democrats, their efforts are backed by nonpartisan groups and some Republicans.

Speaking of ugly,... ;)
Boo hoo - we are victims - dont pick on us. What strength (rolling eyes)
She doesn’t need any ugly attacks. She’s already ugly. Ugly is her middle name. Kamala “Ugly” Harris!
Translation: the social media pukes are ALL IN for the "Riden-Harris" campaign...
These same Feninazis said nothing as homofascists lynched Sarah Palin in effigy, late night tv hosts like David Letterman told a rape joke about Sarah and her teenage daughter, a lesbian comedian told a racist rape joke about Sarah Palin, Sarah was call the C and the B word.
These same Feminazis defended Bill Clinton saying women should take one for team even if he did rape or sexually harass women in the workplace.
In short they have ZERO credibility and are NOT pro-woman.
If she wasnt calling Biden a racist, then what was that attack about in the debate about Biden opposing forced busing?
On women’s nature:
Just like they did Tara Reade.
God didn’t make any such nature in women any more than the nature that many men exhibit.
Just take note that Adam tried to pass the buck for his own sin onto Eve, when he wasn’t even tempted as she was and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil of his own will (Genesis 3:12).
I never though Harris was unattractive...
Until she came out a week or two ago from apparently Michael Jackson’s Plastic Surgeon with the newly rearranged and bleached face.
I can think of at least three or four governors (all male though) that would have lifted the Biden odds. Same with Senator Warren, and maybe Mayor Pete...but none were black females.
So with this pressure from the DNC....they were stuck. Kinda reminded me of the 1988 situation, with Dukaskis selecting Lloyd Bentsen. No gain-no loss...lousy strategy.
You can’t even say with the Indian-population of the US that her selection influences them in some way to vote for Joe Biden.
We’re counting on you, KARENS!
More stuff they want to shove down the memory hole.
Who was it that said in the Soviet Union, the future is known but the past is what keeps changing? The mainstream media have tried (and failed) to bring that here for decades.
So I guess we will have to stick with calling her a Nazi and a traitor every day. Is that it?
I remember on-air people in 2008 calling Palin the b-word and the c-word among other epithets and there were no women, of either party, that would respond with outrage. Showed once again that feminism is a lie. They supported Bubba the Rapist because he kept abortion legal then buried Palin, allowing every vile thing to be said about her they could invent.
