I've been looking for RL17 powder for my rifle and it seems it's all out of stock.

Anyone know of a reputable retailer or online store they go to that doesn't overcharge for hazmat fees? Well I guess anyone know of an online or retailer that actually has the powder in stock? Was using RL15 for my Mauser 6.5 Creedmor but finding that the RL 17 with Lapua brass is outperforming with a .5 moa Any help is appreciated.

Good luck, our reloading supplies were drained shortly after we ran out of ammo.

You'll have to call CAC Assoc. to see what's in stock.

Midway has free hazmat about once a month but no RL17 at the moment.

I get 1/4 moa with H4350 and Winchester stabal 6.5

RL17 rare up here too. That stabal 6.5 is made foe the creedmoor.

No, hazmat is not included in Midway’s free shipping.

Tried the 4350 and with my rifle doesn’t seem to like it as much as the RL 15. I have read several blogs on the RL 17 being a better performer for the target shooter from long range. I have at most a 385 yard shot from my box but I am insanely picky about the accuracy of my shots.

Yep. I usually purchase from Midway and they’ve been out for the last 3 weeks, at least when I have checked. Sportsmans has it in PA but you have to pick up in store and that’s a 500 mile trek for me.

I am insanely picky about the accuracy of my shots.

The military uses ball powder for contract 223 and 308, but after two years of playing with both and shooting many groups with full load ladders, I consistently find stick powders like 3031 to be more consistent and accurate than ball powders. I load ball powder for all my tactical practice and plinking rounds, but for accuracy (less than 0.4 MOA average, best groups through the same hole at 0.1 MOA) I have been really happy with 3031.

Thanks. Just purchased from Graf’s. Hazmat fee was only 12.50 versus 37.00 for Ballistic Products.

They’re not cheap, but they have some specialized shotshell reloading stuff you can’t find elsewhere.

My gun club gets their sporting clays stuff from them and I add to it when and is pending so no HAZMAT.
