President Trump announced Sunday he wouldn't be throwing out the opening pitch for the New York Yankees next month as he had planned, citing meetings and other work related to the U.S.'s COVID-19 outbreak.
In a tweet, Trump said that he would plan to throw out the first pitch at a game later in the MLB's season, which began last week.
"Because of my strong focus on the China Virus, including scheduled meetings on Vaccines, our economy and much else, I won’t be able to be in New York to throw out the opening pitch for the @Yankees on August 15th. We will make it later in the season!" he tweeted.

I wouldn’t soil my shoes at the stadium. He should say that unless they stand for the Flag,fuggetaboutit. But we all know,that ain’t gonna happen.

Good for Trump, he could have stated the real reason, that he was through with the MLB, NBA, and NFL for their disrespect for the American flag, as depicted by the Yanks and Nationals chicken kneeling on opening day.
They all kneel for the anthem, screw the MLB, the NBA, all of them they are frauds who collect BIG paychecks to throw a ball around then spit in America’s face
Good. I suspect the real reason is the stupid BLM-MLB nonsense that has been unfolding this past week. Once the Yankees all got on their knees a few days ago I knew he’d never show up at Yankee Stadium.

Good. Rarely, if ever, is throwing out the first pitch a good thing. There is little upside to it. There are plenty of other things President Trump could be doing that have a greater positive impact.
Im sure he doesn’t want to give the media a soundbite of him being booed.

I’m getting tired of the articles being posted about professional sports. The left has wrecked my enjoyment of the games. They’ll never come back so screw em. And the commie donkey they rode in on.

I agree. Ben a fan since 1963. Once Hicks and Stanton knelt, that ended my 57 years of being a fan. My love of country is mountains more than my love of ANY sport.
Trump has gone into stadiums before and there have been more cheers than boos. Rather he do it with the people in it
Tell them he will, then go and when even one takes a knee, say ,”Good bye, I’ll find an American team.”
There is a group of us that are trying to make our point to the MLB that we will no longer put with this BS.
I have put away all of my baseball memorabilia, hats t-shirts, etc.
I will no longer support MLB. -No clicks, tune in, turn out or promote their racial bias. I am also a member of the Neilson Ratings and MLB will be reported on my or our household monitor.
