They are not prepared for a 65% boycott is more like it.

Doesn’t matter to me if they play or not, won’t be watching.
Perhaps they could consult with the California Teachers Union.
Protect them from what? Looking stupid kneeling for the anthem while standing for the non-anthem? Because this virus is no threat to any of theses guys.
That’s okay. More and more people are not prepared to waste our time on Sundays (and Monday and Thursday nights) watching a bunch of overpaid and largely overweight men beating each other’s brains in.
I can watch the 11 PM news and see the same thing in our city’s streets!

Screw it. Cancel all professional sports. A bunch of overpaid drama queens anyway.
I, my wife, my family, and her family have been sports fans for decades. Football, Baseball, Hockey, not so much Basketball. Why not Basketball? Because the sport is pathetic. Simply watch the last six minutes of any game and that’s it.
We have all decided that we are done with ALL sports. They are dead to us. They have taken sides. And, the side they have taken is Marxism, Anti-Americanism. We will have nothing to do with that.
If they’ll enforce the social distancing ‘rule’ I’ll be All-Pro at age 72. Just toss me a lateral, I’ll apply a disinfecting wipe tor the ball and shuffle on in every time.
Probably it will take me a couple minutes to “run” every touchdown though.
Start the season the weekend after the November election.
