They used to play on special occasions. It was so popular they started playing before every game.

Honestly? Why play the National Anthem at any sporting activity - professional sports are a business, not a national patriotic entity.

Since the players and the owners have gone crazy on us, let's withdraw the privilege of displaying our flag or playing the National Anthem.

I agree. It simply gives them an opportunity to disrespect our flag, and our country as well as giving them a forum to air their perceived grievances such as being an "oppressed" multi-millionaire who gets a massive paycheck to play a game.

Either refrain from playing the National Anthem, or simply play it while the players are in the locker room before they take the field.

I very seldom watch any sports as it’s almost 100% a total waste of my time. The only sports I consider worthy of my time are those that are related to hunting, shooting and survivalist skill’s. Basketball, baseball, football are off my radar.
