ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has reportedly been suspended without pay by ESPN for saying “f--- you” to Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley in an email. Hawley had sent a letter to NBA commissioner Adam Silver, complaining about the social justice messages NBA players are allowed to wear on the back of their jerseys, and Woj was responding to a press release Hawley’s office had sent to him. Woj apologized publicly and to his ESPN colleagues, but it doesn’t appear that’s had an effect on his suspension (which ESPN has yet to confirm or comment on). So NBA players have taken up the cause. After the news of Woj’s suspension broke on Saturday night, NBA players (both in the bubble and beyond) started tweeting the #FreeWoj hashtag on Twitter to support the veteran NBA reporter.

The comments and questions from Sen Hawley put the money the NBA receives from China at risk. You mess with people’money and you have to expect push back. I would like to see other senators join Hawley in asking even more pointed questions.
As if I needed another reason to never watch the NBA again....
Hawley, sent a letter to the NBA Commissioner asking why they were allowing political statements on jerseys that only questioned American institutions....and was China specifically off limits or could someone wear a jersey that said, “Free Hong Kong”...to which the ESPN reporter replied “F” you.....

It’s called “killing the golden goose.” These NBA(sports in general) feel the money train will always be there, but it is quickly drying up. The stands will be empty and the owners will not pay the salaries.
Congrats NBA and you too NFL. Telling your mostly WHITE advertisers and fanbases to basically go f**k themselves is real smart business. Hello dwindling advertising dollars and decreasing attendance and interest. Let’s hope so.
