There should be a name the Redskins contest. Whoever comes up with the best name wins a brand new car. My suggestion: The Republicans.
I think the owner of the Redskins is betting that Trump is going to lose in November, and there’s no point in continuing the fight over the team name any longer.

This was my thought as well.
They will have to get rid of the head of the indian, but with a Redtails name they can keep the other feature, the feathers with red and yellow highlights.
The reason they picked the name Redskins in the first place was to preserve their colors and indian themed logos. The name they had to change from back then was the Braves and they already had a red theme.
The Boston Braves baseball team and the Boston Braves football team were originally owned by the same ownership team, when ownership of the two teams diverged the football team had to adopt a new name. Today those two teams are the Atlanta Braves and the Washington Redskins.

The last Patriots game of that season was against the Giants; they won 38-35. If there was ANY team that was going to beat them, it was the Giants. The Ravens were the only other team to come that close.
I get the feeling the sports industry knows their fan base now is primarily minorities and women. When they had to allow gambling to keep people interested, that was a bad sign.
