Good job turning a depressing upbeat. Reminds me of this Jimmy Buffett version of Southern Cross

That was absolutely perfect...couldn’t have told the difference between the two bands!

Almost all the early ABBA stuff was upbeat. A couple of others that are hard to ignore:

The Happening by The Supremes

Stoned Love by The Supremes

Dancing in the Streets by Martha and the Vandellas

Tijuana Taxi by Herb Alpert

Spanish Flea by Herb Alpert

Judy in Disguise by John Fred and His Playboy Band

These songs should keep your feet moving.

I wouldn’t say anything by Elvis is obscure but he has upwards of 1000 recorded songs which tends to dwarf most other popular artists and because of that one can discover an awful lot one hasn’t heard by him. I have a few more on a workout playlist when I exercise. I’ll add a few more down thread. Not necessarily Elvis but other artists.

Chuck Berry's recording of Promised Land got airplay out here in the spring of 1965. Note the references to alphabetical prefixes to phone numbers, meals served to airline passengers and the view of Los Angeles as the Promised Land. Man, how times have changed!

My favorite song from the sixties:

Wilson Pickett “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher” and others

Pointer Sisters...

Edwin Hawkins Singers, “Oh Happy Day”

If these don’t make your feet move, bring out the defibrillator.

I like that one!

I was hesitant to post this old one, but see what you think.   I consider it to be sort of an upbeat blues, but your mileage may vary.   I'll post it anyway, and you can take it or leave it.

I’ve been trying to listen to the songs from the hip hop musical “Hamilton” since I haven’t paid much attention to it to date. “The Schuyler Sisters” is very upbeat (ignore Obama and Gang).
