The other day a chess podcast was taken down for no good reason. The host had over 1800 videos on chess. No violence. No profanity. Just chess. The conjecture was the algorithms caught is “white is better in this position” and interpreted that in a racial way or something. Will chess have to change its colors for the PC crowd?
He is of more of a philosophical bent than I but I recognize he is a smart guy and his takes on events are overwhelmingly smart and insightful.
I’m not surprised the Youtube Wokeratti banned him. I can only assume Sargon of Akkad/Akkad Daily, Black Pigeon Speaks/Felix Rex, Stephen Crowder and the Rubin Report are next. Must not allow anybody to question the radical left.....
If you had asked me 10 years ago about “letting the free market solve the issue”, I would have been far more receptive to that philosophy.
I never imagined myself becoming so contemptuous of the merchant class as I am today. The last few years have been a real eye-opener.
I once ready where the ancient Chinese viewed the farming class as one of the most revered and the merchant class as one of the most base. I always thought this was an extrememly backward way of viewing society. But now I’m beginning to see that they may have been on to something.
You are right, however. These self-important businesses need to have a major run in with a group of equaly ambitious lawyers and judges. That’ll cool their asses off.

You're right. To the degree that you regulate something like a corporation, you make it vulnerable to something besides its customers: the bought politicians, corrupt bureaucrats, pet foundations, and dishonest press who control the regulators.
Anyone who has worked for a "powerful," public company knows how timid and cowardly such entities are today.

Youtube went on a Nazi hunt awhile back and hundreds of documentary-type videos on WW2 were purged and history themed channels banned. I think at least some of them made it back. So, yeah, there’s just no rhyme or reason - just maybe a vague idea that crawls up their butt and they go out cancelling.
Must be those pesky “advertisers.”
