I order a lot things online from Walmart. I did this even before the Pandemic.
Last week I had trouble with a 'suspicious shipment' from Slidell, LA (Land of Katrina thieves).
Before that several years ago I bought the 'Ol Yeller' DVD from Walmart.
Both were strange in how the shipping was handled.
I quickly received the 'Ol Yeller' DVD - quicker than normal. But there was not DVD inside the case. Apparently Walmart 'Associate' stole it for themselves.
I had to take it customer service, who did not believe me.
A replacement was ordered. But then there was another shipment on the way. So I ended up with two DVD's, not one.
I gave the other one away.
Then last week, I saw my order was in two parts for a vacuum and vacuum cleaner bags for it.
I received the bags overnight - from California. Apparently they were so light that FEDEX put them on an overnight flight rather than ship them ground.
Now I had the bags, so I waited on the actual vacuum cleaner.
I waited around for the vacuum cleaner to arrive the day that Walmart said it was to be delivered. NOTHING.
This was about 7 days after I had ordered this from Walmart.
I checked the FEDEX number with FEDEX. FEDEX claimed they were waiting on the package.
So I believe someone stole my vacuum cleaner and did not expect to catch the 'gimmick' they used to steal it. Remind you that it was to be shipped from Slidell (New Orleans area). I live about 150 miles from there, so I was very perplexed about the missing shipment.
I give Walmart support 'the dickens' over this package. I received it the very next day.s
Apparently, Walmart employees (Associates) think they steal stuff by changing the status to 'shipped' when there is a shipping number.
When you order something, use all the tracking tools available. In this case, the Walmart tracking (in my opinion) was fraudulent. FEDEX tracking told the true story.
Beware to track what you buy online...
Were you ordering from Walmart dot com or from a third party on the Walmart website? I will not order from a third party. Also I ship site to store as much as possible.
Ordered from Walmart.com, not third party. Product is available at WalMart stores.
Walmart.com tracking then FEDEX tracking:
Note that the only thing that happened in SLIDELL, LA
was the generation of the FEDEX information on June 13.
Once this was done, the Walmart Employee could steal my
package....
Note that the FEDEX info was generated by Walmart in Slidell on Saturday June 13.

Shipment information sent to FedEx
Walmart is a puppet of the left. Im amazed that so many conservatives are so apathetic to this fact. Why spend a single dollar there?
Its also been noted that Walmart is rife with a criminal element, far above any other major retailer. This includes many employees.

Watch for the new ‘Package Arriving Late’ scam from the USPS, as well...this is what hiring ‘AA’ gets you.
Walmart's ecommerce shortcomings stem from running brick and mortar stores. The warehouses and workers filling and shipping online orders are serving live stores at the same time. Amazon doesn't have that problem.
Walmart has a lot of room for improvement, but the employees are not stealing from you. They probably gave you a big card to make you happy.

Maybe lootie got the vacuum cleaner.
I ordered from Walmart in late March, it took 3 weeks (no other company had what I wanted). Their tracking page kept saying “delayed, delayed.”
It finally arrived and barely worked. I sat on hold for an hour on the phone and never got anyone on the phone. I couldn’t get an answer fulling out a customer service form online.
Finally I found an email address for the manufacturer in China... I took a handful of pictures showing what was wrong and emailed them, and he sent a replacement almost immediately.
When the new one came, I did an “unboxing” video documenting whats in the package. So far it works.
Lots of places are having shipping issue due to the current climate...I even had some headaches getting a MyPillow topper...won’t say WalMart employees are incapable of thievery but wouldn’t jump to that conclusion so quick - especially since you ended up with 2 CDs...and gave one away....not much different than stealing in itself...
Maybe it was in that Fed Ex truck that pancaked the guy trying to rob it...
That tells me it was stolen off of your front porch. If the tracking number provides that much information then it was indeed picked up from Walmart by FedEx and it was tracked to all those locations listed. They scan the package at each location, including your location. The other scenario is that FedEx mistakenly delivered your item purchased to the wrong location, and not to your house. That happens too, especially when someone else is covering a route for a driver who called out that day it was delivered.
Regardless as to what happened to the package, Walmart was not at fault. They packed it and shipped it. Once FedEx picks up the package and scans it in, then the problem no longer is a Walmart problem. It now becomes a FedEx problem if you fail to receive your package.
As for the DVD, was it shrink wrapped? If so then it was most likely a robotic packing error that occurred. But then somehow you ended up with 2 DVDs, enabling you to give one away. How did that happen? Were there 2 DVDs in the second package received? If that was the case then it almost confirms the notion of a robotic packing error. Still not Walmart's fault. If you received 2 separate DVDs, then that is Walmart's fault, but you benefited and Walmart suffered another loss.
Does Walmart have problems with thefts, both internally and externally? Of course. But they are not unique with this theft problem. It occurs in most retail establishments brick & mortar as well as online establishments.
Bottom line is: whenever you order something from a website you should follow the tracking number, as there is a lot of opportunities for the item to not be received or stolen along the way.
I used to work in the retail industry.
Theft from our company warehouses was rampant. They were union shops so little was ever done about it.
Theft from FedEx shipments by FedEx employees was rampant too. They had figured out which boxes likely contained jewelry and started helping themselves. Stupid corporate management had signed an iron-clad contract with them which prevented us from switching to other carriers.
Years ago I had a neighbor who was a Teamster who believed that helping himself to anything in his truck was an unwritten perk of his contract. That attitude is widespread.
The Walmart just generated a label.
Fedex showed it awaiting pickup until I chewed some customer support rear ends on the 18th.
Nothing happened from Saturday afternoon the 13th until I VIGOROUS complained on the 18th.
That is my point.
I was told by a friend of an employee years ago that when Walmart and Sam's check your purchase as you leave it is because they are really checking up on the employees to see if they are slipping free things into their homies' bags. # BLM
