Did Google ban Churchill? Wartime leader's picture mysteriously vanishes from search giant's list of British Prime Ministers amid furious row over statue of wartime leader

Winston Churchill's photo disappeared from Google's list of British prime ministers this morning, as protesters call for his statue to be torn down. The wartime leader was the only prime minister to be left without a photo with Clement Attlee, Neville Chamberlain and Stanley Baldwin, who all served before Churchill, still displayed with their images. Adolf Hitler's picture was also still displaying on the search engine, despite Churchill's being missing for several hours this morning.

I suppose if you want to be picky his picture is there as a former PM but only from 1951-1955 instead of twice. You would have to look in an older archive to see if it was in twice before.

Now they’re showing Clement Atlee as Prime Minister from 1940-45, not Churchill. They only have Churchill as PM from 51’-’55, the sniveling bastards. Atlee was a deputy PM during the war. Even after they get called out on it, they still gotta get a dig in.

No, Atlee is showing from 1945-51, and the picture to the right is Neville “Peace in our time” Chamberlain, from 1937-40.

I guess the United Kingdom didn’t have a Prime Minister from 1940-45.

Ah, I stand corrected. You’re right, I guess Britain was led by a womens’ knitting circle during WW II.
