The riots can literally be brought to a halt quickly. As fast as possible, or order them made, convert 12ga shotgun shells to shoot rock salt. Shoot protesters who become violent, loot or throw things with rock salt in the legs, buttocks or back (not the head). They are finished for the session once hit.
Some will have to pull every piece out with tweezers. Nothing will stop the pain short of pulling out the salt. This was a very effective method used many years ago before these ignorant young people were born to deter theft of watermelons and the like. Extremely effective. Should be able to avoid killing anyone with this tactic.

I also heard someone saying, probably joking that let’s get some cowboys out there with rope, circle around the protesters and rope them up.
Didn’t know there is a conversion needed. Aren’t there 12gu rock salt rounds that readily fit a 12gu shotgun? Or are they only for 20gu?
It would seem desirable to devise a system which would make sure, first, that the riot would stop; and second, that only the leaders would feel the weight of social disapproval.

The conversion I made was taking the lead out and re-packing with rock salt. Anyone who has EVER been shot with rock salt does not want to EVER experience it again. Ask them.
Sorry I meant to say, rope up the rioters and arsonists, not protesters. I’ve been infected by the mainstream media who insist on referring to rioters as protesters , instead of referring to them by any criminal moniker.

I’ve read that the Israelis have been known to follow that approach.
The ones who most need shooting (leaders) will be prepared with heavy garments, gloves, masks, etc. Takes shot to penetrate. Will work on the followers though.

However, the only answer to what we are seeing now is to demand the police stop it and arrest the rioters. Outside of the media and in the complicit mind of the NYC mayor the rioters and looters have no righteous cloak.
This is the only thing that will end the chaos - unleash the police and realize its going to be ugly for a bit. The mob does not understand anything else.

Dimes were a common load in the old west. Made of silver, they deformed in very interesting ways.
