In Flight Fight
Kind of feels like that???
More at the link in #22
BFL
Bravo - Foxtrot - Lima ???
Can you give me a clue?
a youtube.com blog that goes by the name Blancolirio...
Yes noted with link in #22.
what software do you use for flight sim? I love that, and I want to get something since I am semi-retired now.
I saw this bizarre story on TheFlightChannel on YouTube. The guy who runs it uses Microsoft Flight Simulator to re-create accidents and incidents from around the world. He got the story about the PIA crash out in 4 days.
After watching it, I cannot imagine what the ever-loving hell the pilots were thinking. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Yes. That certainly looks like wheels down. It also looks a bit steep.

Bump for later.
Just marking so I can come back when I have time to read.
The gear was down prior to impact.
Yeah, I watch that channel as well, saw his video on it yesterday.
Bump for later.
Thank you.
I’ve always used MS flight simulator all versions since the very first one for the commodore 64.
I currently use the latest version which is MSFS=X for the PC,
No one in the aviation world uses KPH as a measurement of speed.
It's either MPH or Knots.
KPH is being used here to sensationalize the headline. Naturally.

That was interesting.
Yup - "Ludicrous speed"
Even the SR-71 doesn’t land that fast, nor the space shuttle.
You only need to land that fast at Macho Grande airport.
“they missed the gear up buzzer alarm.”
And apparently missed it on the check list.
Additionally, there are “tips” like green and red dot markers on the PFD Airspeed Scale that are there to warn the pilots on speed problems. He never should have tried to land the aircraft, it was way too hot.
A good article on this is here:

If they were really going 327kph and they only had one shot at the runway due to dead stick landing, (no engines) then I guess that could explain why they didn’t deploy landing gear. To try to make a skid landing I guess. Still, I wouldn’t even think of trying to simulate that landing at 327 knots.
This defies logic. They came in high hot and heavy, used up almost half the runway before impacting with no landing gear down, skidded down the runway and then became airborne again before the turbines, failed due to damage. Ever bell and whistle should have been going off in the cockpit on the original approach. Hell, even my simple glider will not let me land without the gear down. If I deploy air brakes without the gear down I get a buzzer sounding off.
I am confused.
ps
When I worked in the Middle East Oil Fields but not in Pakistan my friends that did always said, do not fly PIA. That was back in the late 70s.
