A while back I mentioned that we were about to put our house up for sale in MA. The real estate market here in Central MA seems fine. We had two offers from 4 showings within a week of listing. We accepted an offer that was slightly higher than what we hoped to get, and we’ll be handing over the keys and heading for a lower tax state on July 15.
I had all manner of angst about the process due to the pandemic, but other than delaying the listing by a couple of weeks it does not seem to have made much difference. (It was a real bummer having to leave home for the showings and not having much of any place to go due to the lockdown. One can only grocery shop so much, particularly with planning to empty out the house in about 5 weeks!)
The best advice is to work with the most experienced and well-regarded realtor you can find in your area. That, and doing a bit of on-line research should give you a good idea of what your local market is doing.
