FIREWORKS: Made in USA?

It is not just fireworks, but Christmas lights and a host of other things we can do better here than they do over there.

That said, with a proud history of observing July 4th by way of booms, bangs, and bright lights celebrating independence from King George, I am hesitant to make use of products sold by Communist China this year. Why was I not in years past?

Here is the thing: We should develop a fireworks industry that puts Communist China to shame. Not that our military does not have it already, but I am speaking of home entertainment in the way of booms, bangs, and bright lights celebrating independence from King George.

If any Freeper knows of a source for fireworks made right here in our home country, this Constitutional Republic which embraces, according to its Constitution the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of private property, then please reply with the source here.

If your state permits them, look up and contact your local Pyrotechnicians Club or organization. They take pride in designing and manufacturing their own pyrotechnics and know the laws and regulations governing the same. For a reasonable fee to cover costs and any legal paperwork, they may be able to put on a private show that puts any foreign-made backyard fireworks to shame.

Here in Upstate NY, a friend who is a licensed pyrotechnician put on a private show for my family that included some serious fireworks — 4” and 6” shells among them — and it was a lifetime experience.

Things are more restrictive since 9-11 and black powder is harder to come by in quantity, but it can be done.

And of course, stay legal, whatever the laws are in your state and locale. A good fireworks show is kinda hard to hide. :-)

Not really possible. Even amateur fireworks manufacture is so expensive, in terms of permits, storage, storage inspections, etc. here in the USA, that professional manufacture of fireworks is not a cost effective process, unless you are talking the expensive stuff for cities and rich theme parks.

IMO, your only real hope is finding a non-Chinese Asian manufacturer. Many places, like Vietnam, but they are also a communist country, and in the end, would very likely perform pretty much like the CCP if put in a bind.

I am not convinced Covid19 was a intentional release. But whatever happened was made much worse by the CCP’s performance.

Look at Chernobyl and the Russian Communists. Communists are communists, through and through, and they are so hung up on their own infallibility and power, they can’t ever admit to be mistaken or wrong. Chernobyl was an accumulation of DECADES of mistakes in nuclear reactor design. And then cover-ups of the design failures, till tthey had a design failure so catastrophic, it couldn’t be covered up!

We celebrate Independence Day. July 4th/4th of July is merely a date on the calendar.

And just for kicks, try to imagine the current left having a Chernobyl event. Think about how they act about minor things. Now extend that to a environment killing event like Chernobyl.

Yes, they will act just like communists of yore. Never their fault! Never caused by their mistakes of hubris!

We need more old fashioned made in USA fireworks. One 4th of July we have like 20 pounds of cherry bombs and M80s, not the cheap sissy duds ya see today, but real the deal. Best 4th ever. With supervision, it’s good family fun for all! Hotdogs and Howitzers.

I say let China continue to make fireworks 🧨 and cocktail parasols. We need railroad locomotives 🚂 and pressure cookers that are Made in the U.S.A..🇺🇸🇺🇸
