Gabriel’s third solo album (the one with Games Without Frontiers) is a classic.

Like the title. Never liked Springsteen.

I just watched that for a few seconds. It’s almost as bad as the “It’s a small small world” song at Disney World.

I grew up in the 80s. Classic rock was on vinyl from the 70s. I enjoy 80s music with the rest of them but refuse to call it “classic.”

I’m not a big Rush fan, but I can see them on this list. Still, Motley Crue? Guns n Roses? Pah.

I think my granddaughter accounts for 15% of those views, and your assessment of it is dead-on!

Heart - Great in the 70s, sucked in the 80s.

I might grudgingly give Motley Crue a ‘thumbs up’ but Guns n Roses? A glaring omission would be Van Halen. If I had to cut somebody to put V-H in there it would be GnR.

Was at a party once, a weekend party, out in Yellowwood state park area. Some IU students hosting. One guy played Highway to Hell Album over... and over.... All night. The next morning over coffee on the deck, we took that album out about 30 yards, and blasted it with .22s. By the time the owner of said album woke up, the damn thing looked like Swiss Cheese. 😎 Good Times... Great Party!
To: albie
By that time, they had already put out 8 previous albums.

The idol worship of sex and drugs that marks rock-n-roll is incredibly sad. It will be played in Hell for all eternity.
Sacrificial love of neighbor and unlimited love of the Creator is never found in this genre. The absence of true Charity is the mark of this music.
Self-love is in almost every song. So sad and fleeting.

“Born in the USA” was a 70s song. Danced to it at my senior prom.
