... The April 14 Patch Tuesday updates included fixes for a total of 133 vulnerabilities, including seven critical security flaws in Windows 10. I have always said that users need to take the fixing of security vulnerabilities very seriously indeed. When new research suggests that the average Windows 10 PC has no less than 14 weaponized vulnerabilities, that is ones with known exploits in case you were wondering, that seriousness is reinforced...
...First things first, given the sheer number of Windows 10 users out there, the number of people complaining of these issues, in the hundreds, is relatively small. This doesn't make it any better if you are one of them, but it does need to be put into some perspective. The problems those users are reporting to the Microsoft support forums and on social media have included the installation failing and looping back to restart again, the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) following a "successful" update and computers that simply refuse to boot again afterward. Among the more common issues, in terms of complaints after a Windows 10 update, were Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity related ones. But there were have also been users complaining that after a restart, all files from the C drive had been deleted...

Microsoft is now a defacto Indian company. With crap Indian quality that slows...
Just wait until Bill Gates does that to your body with his vaccine
It happened to my work laptop.
Haven’t seen a blue screen of death in a LONG time.
From the safety of Win7, I will observe that it is hard to report a problem if one’s computer has been trashed.
The worst part of Win10, of course, is that home users can’t turn off updates.
Imagine if cars sold to people were built with as many flaws as Windows 10, needing fixes every month.
The driving accident dead toll would be in the millions annually.
all files from the C drive had been deleted...”
well that’s a problem.
Or, if they are Jaguars or Land Rovers, mostly parked in the service lineup.
“Or, if they are Jaguars or Land Rovers, mostly parked in the service lineup.”
Are they ahead of or behind the teslas in line?
Crazy stuff.
Happened to mine. As soon as it boots it says it will shut down in a minute.
And people here and across the country are wetting their pants for a vaccine from this guy.
Windows 10 Update: Would You Like Deleted Files And Blue Screens With That?
Makes us wanting to go stand in line until Gates can develop a vaccination for killer viruses.
Everything had been working fine for the last 3-4 years up until the update. I’ve been working a solid week on my home network with all sorts of issues. I think I got most of my system straighten out but my back up program (as well as some others) wants an admin password. I’ve typed in every single password I’ve ever used (yes I keep a record) and it rejects them all. The only solution as I can see it is to change the admin password. Help sites are all over the board with possible solutions to change the admin password, but most of them sound rather dangerous. Not sure what to do.
No complaint with Microsoft until this month, when Outlook is sending my emails the following day, and some of them are date sensitive.
Tried to find out if is a common problem...not successful
All the files on the C drive, deleted? Hell, some of those aren't important at all... :^)
all files from the C drive had been deleted...
well thats a problem.
= = =
Maybe not, if the OS is (was) on the C drive.
Windows 10 drove me to get another MAC. Normally i am not that frivolous with hard earned money. I just couldnt take another year w windows at home. Bad enough to have it at work.
