Draft beer stays fresh from between two to six months

How do you get a lousy Keg of Beer to last more than a few weeks?? But it will keep a lot longer than they say, depends on the beer.

So would I, but clean water, and Saline are necessities for the sick among us.

I have a GI disease that leaves me dehydrated no matter how much water I drink, thus I have times I need IV’s and why do I have to pay $400-700 a unit, when it cost less than $10 at most to produce?? In times of crisis floods, wild fires Breweries always provided clean water.

A guy walks into a bar in Florida that is offering beer for 10 cents a pitcher so he sits down and orders one.

At the other end of the beer there's a bunch of old guys just sitting there.

So the guy asks the bartender who they are and why they're not drinking.

The bartender says they're retirees waiting for happy hour when everything is half price...........

Did some research as this is veddy series bidness. Unpasteurized kegged beer (most of them) are good to around two months, pasteurized three months or more.

A Half Barrel keg (standard size) is 23 inches tall, weighs around 160 lbs. full and holds 15.5 gallons. That breaks down to 1,984 ounces = 124 16-ounce servings or 165 12-ounce servings. That's 6.88 cases or 13.77 twelve packs. Here in Tennessee the average price on those are $12.00 and $24.00, respectively. $165 in twelve packs per keg.

At Nashville's largest distributor "All Things Scottish" (no free ads here) popular brand kegs "sell" for $150 with a $50 deposit, $40 by credit card. Right now they have PBR and Natural Light for $126. So if you're going to start saving $15.00 or more you need a "kegerator" - because a trash barrel of ice with a one-day party pump just doesn't cut it.

Here's an excellent page on kegerators. I see a lot of old yet working fridges dropped off at dump sites so I'm going for a kit conversion.

Hummmm! My son’s old dorm refrigerator is down in the basement.

Another project I don’t need to add to the list. I think I’ll just patronize the local growler place. They have about 40 taps, so a good selection at all times. I hope they survive this.

In high school in the 1960s a friend stole a case of beer from his brother’s garage. It was steel canned Schaefer and the outside of the cans were rusting. Talk about skunky beer. Yet we drank every drop.
