Sorry for the Vanity, but I have friends who BELIEVE Cuomo, that NY is testing 16,000 people per day. Anyone in New York want to comment?

Why would he lie about that? Certainly the case count is supporting that. Confirming the bed count would be easy enough for the feds to get.

If that’s changed, NYS hasn’t updated the website.

i don’t know about 16,000 daily but i took the test in my doctors parking lot today and they did about 5 of them where i was in Westchester county...
Wow. Positivity rate in my neck of the Upstate woods is way lower than that...
Yes. The % positive really varies among states.
NJ was sky high at first because only the hospitalized who were very sick got tested. It’s coming down now. So many variables it’s hard to make any generalizations yet.
I’d much rather be in a place with low % positive. That much is clear.
Great. At 16,000 a day it will take about 3 1/4 years to test everyone. I bet Cuomo plans on keeping them locked up until then.
NYS still has 3 or 4 counties clear of reported cases, Upstate. Other than our few metro areas and Tompkins (home to Cornull and Ithaca College), the state’s politicians are wreaking far more harm than the freaking WiFlu.
Or, until a Democrat is President. Which ever comes first.

Just look at what Cuomo’s done re: illegal immigration.
Also, he rejected a recommended state stockpiling of ventilators in 2015.
And he stopped de Blasio from shutting down NYC when it would have made a difference.

Minnesota did 12,000 today, so 16,000 in NY actually seems kinda low.
For the past ten years i’ve dealt with something that flares up out of nowhere every 6 to 12 months. The symptoms run parallel to the wuhan virus; fever, cough, shortness of breath (and i run 5 miles every day) aches, etc...i mean run parallel to a T.
I’ve been tested and tested before but they tell me they can’t find anything...I am 99.9% sure its the residual effects of lymes disease i suffered in 2007.
Regardless- i got hit with Sunday night out of nowhere when i broke out into a fever and chills and its been up and down since. I called my doctor, told her what was happening and told her i was not concerned for myself rather my wife and daughter.
My doctor told me to come in for the test...
