Good and bad.

It is good to punish the hoarders.

It is bad because a lot of people can’t find toilet paper right now. It would put some back on the shelves for people at market price.

I like the policy but when is toilet paper going to be restocked? It is taking forever.

Toilet paper lasts. No need to eat it.

It's my understanding that it turns brown over time.

I ate a Costco hot dog yesterday. Used their soda fountain, too. Haven’t died of the Wu Flu, yet.

Hope the idiots choke on their hoarded stock.

You hoarders can launch that toilet paper to Uranus.

LOL. We are in a “sorry not sorry” mode. We had not hoarded but purchased what we thought we would reasonably need...with a small buffer....figuring we could cope beyond that (and also thinking...”if it’s BEYOND that, toilet paper will be the least of our worries “). Stay safe. :)

I would like to see Costco make the first hour open once or twice per week for we oldies and gimp alongs....

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

They would quickly run out of fat people carts. I use an electric cart myself when they aren’t already taken by the fatties. I’m 74 years old but not fat.I can also walk just not without falling a lot.

Dude. They are “carts”...for whatever reason. Judge by weight is wrong. Hubby and I have been hiking trails for many years...but osteoarthritis has been eating away at both my knees. I need replacements but will wait until surgeries will open up over critical hospital beds. Sometimes genetics and other factors play in to it. If you saw me you would never guess I would benefit from a “fatty” cart. Use a cart if you need to...I won’t judge. Hope to get the same in return. Also, my mother is 86 and doesn’t use a cart...gimps on fine for her Walmart trip..despite health issues.

My mother was 95 and arthritic and refused to use an electric cart. She didn’t want people to think she was lazy.

When I look for a cart because I can not walk far without falling, I have perfectly good eye sight, I can see that about 90% of the carts are being used by fat people both young and old.

Good for you. Hope it stays. Your post indicates that carts are only used for “fatties”. You also seemed to complain that you couldn’t get one because they were taken by “fatties”. Let it go...maybe some were...but some were also taken by people who need them who didn’t fit your standards . If my 86 yo mother WERE to be at Walmart and saw your young 74 ass on one...even though you’re not too “fat”...she still wouldn’t judge. She’s barely 100 lbs and knees are crooked as a dog’s hind leg...but she’s gonna save the carts for whoever thinks they need it. Stop judging....it’s healthier. You have NO idea why people are using a cart...you are mostly assuming. You’re a decent guy...seen many of your posts over the years. Hate to think if you saw me on a cart you would whine. I’m not a fattie....just waiting for new knees so I can be back out on the trails. :).

ALSO...gonna be a “fattie” soon since my knees are bone on bone and I’m supposed to avoid certain activities until I get new knees! Hubby and I have hiked trails near our house for years. It’s like God’s free mental health therapy. On another post I had said “Hubby and I have never regretted a hike. We have started MANY in a bad mood. Had to encourage each other to go after work. But We have never *ended* in a bad mood”. Earl Schaffer (first credited thruhiker of the Appalachian Trail - 1948) did it to “walk off the war”. Can’t wait to get back to that, God willing. Hope you stay safe, graybeard 👍

Whenever Scott is on sale I buy a lot of it. I still have 2 24-roll packages that are 5 years old and still fine. Guess it depends on where it is stored. Mine has been in a/c the whole time. I recently discovered that Aldi’s version of Scott is just as good and almost 1/2 the price.

Take your ‘hoarded’ items to the local food bank. They will appreciate it.

Appears we are in about the same shape. I’m 75, walk with a cane. I pulled up to Costco about 9:15 this past Thursday and the line was already down to the end of the building. I would guess about 200 or so people. I came back after lunch and there was no line so I went in just to check things out. I could buy most of the items I came for - except paper products such as TP and other paper products. I asked an employee who was in that area when their next shipment of paper products would arrive and informed usually during the night. And then she said they were usually sold out by 11:00am. I’ve seen postings of shoppers coming out of Costco stores with three or four of the big TP packages which is enough for a year or longer for most families. I don’t understand which Costco doesn’t limit purchases to one package for awhile until supply/demand evens out some.
