A woman filmed driving without a seat belt says it wasn’t her fault because the belts are ‘racist to fat people’. The anonymous woman from New Zealand said she finds it difficult to strap herself in because she is overweight.
If they’re going to give me a fine for not fitting my seatbelt, that’s just being racist, to the fat people.’
‘They’re just being racist, like what do they think the whole world is skinny or something? What about the big people?’
One of the passengers points out seat belt sizing is not racist as ‘fat people’ are not a race.
However, the driver insisted: ‘I could actually sue, like what if I crash, and something happens to me because the seatbelt couldn’t go around me.’
The video is believed to have been made last June but the footage has only recently come to wide attention, being viewed half a million times.
People commenting pointed out that it is possible to buy a seat belt extender so drivers can keep within the law whatever their size.
You should sue.
What about short people? Seriously, short adults are at a disadvantage. Even with modern seatbelts that adjust up or down.
My 5 foot wife makes do by lapping the top shoulder portion under her arm.
She’s too lazy to follow through. Too incompetent even if she tried. Failure, loser. Always a burden, never an asset.

My 10 yr old twin granddaughters are exactly 5 feet tall and they seem to fit the 3-point belts in my Cadillac and Blazer pretty well.

When I was in an accident a number of years ago the seat belt did more damage then anything else.

How about the gubermint bud out. Most of us already have a mother. We dont need nor want the gubermint acting like one. So ... leave the Decision to wear a seat belt or a helmet to the person and not to the intruding populous
