How many folks with the flu in that school district this year, yet no shutdown? This is absolutely INSANE!

Two religious private schools here are closed for two weeks because the parents of a student ‘preemptively tested positive’.................

Atlanta used to be such a nice city...

Much like Dallas, Houston, and Phoenix.

Then millions and millions of people moved there.

That one person must have done a lot of travelling from school to school in order to justify a closure of this magnitude. Or it could be that the Fulton County school board is run by nitwits. Fulton County is where Atlanta is. You decide.

Doesn’t mention, so I guess we can assume it is community transmission.

I’ve been reading some of the most overreactionary, mentally retarded, idiocy over this crap lately. It’s the flu people. It’s probably been here longer than we think, and almost everyone, especially children, are going to be just fine. Stop the madness!!!!!

I know its out of hand..does anyone here remember the swine flu which killed 19,000 Americans, does anyone remember being quarantined, did the stock market crash..nah, no one knew about it, I dont even remember any swine flu pandemic had to look it up online..why because the commie media made ZERO issue of it..and that is what they would do now if a Dem were President

I have to love the devotion of the indoctrination center teachers. They are almost as smart as the students they teach.

My guess, early January it was already here..who knows how many thousands of people already had it, got over it, and moved on with their lives thinking it was just a regular flu

Spring Break coming up soon. Might as well shut it down for 2 weeks and only lose 5 school days.

As if there wouldn't be any exposure during Spring Break or with that much idle time.

The disease is communicable while asymptomatic. Anyone with it, and in close contact with a lot of people (who in turn are in close contact with a lot of people, recursively), has likely spread it significantly.

Children apparently are largely unaffected, but older adults they come in contact with are then put at risk.

Do the math, and good chance we’ll se a bunch of deaths in the area soon.

I’m just a couple counties away. Expecting our schools will be closed soon.

Have something low-level going thru our family now. Have to wonder.

Crazy to think I might be over it already, before even confirming it’s in the area.
