Ouch.
LOL.
Just think about it this way. What do I need if I cannot go out of the house for the next four weeks?
We should all already have local disaster prep, water, candles, food you can eat without cooking like peanut butter and jelly for those times you lose power during natural disasters.
For the possible desire to quarantine at home I am assuming I will still have water and power, but I always have a large stock of water anyway so right now I am prepping by simply asking myself, if I cannot get to the grocery or big box store for the next mont, what do I need to buy?
Good luck.
If you’ve got room in the freezer, buy some seeds. All kinds. Put each packet in a ziploc quart freezer bag, sealed. Then put the individual quart bags in a gallon ziploc freezer bag, sealed.
Store in the back of your freezer (or on the bottom).
Never hurts to have seeds regardless of what happens.
JMHO.
I hate M&C.
But they bought a case of it at Costco.
Wife and I are farm kids. Grew up having lots of food on hand “For the storm” and big gardens.
Funny thing is we don’t consider it prepping.
At our house, seeds/gardening/fruit trees/food preserving isn’t prepping. It’s life.
We grew 50 gallons of blueberries year before last. Picked many 5 gallon buckets of pears, apples, etc. That’s not even the garden itself.
It’s cheap and I know how it was grown, the variety’s name and what it was or was not sprayed with. I also know that I didn’t poop in the row and wipe with my hand right before I harvested lettuce. Just sayin’.
My plum tree died, last year :(
Get another one!
Order it tonight.
Jungs, Starks, Gurneys, etc.
Make sure you’ve got a pollinator for it.
Lots of varieties still in stock at those places as it’s early still.
Just don’t plant the new one where (or near) the old one was. ‘Replant’ syndrome/disease is a thing.
I was getting 100 pts of jam, every other year off it!
I know they have plenty, up the street.
Just so dang mad that the beetles got to it.
Yikes.
I’m sorry for your loss.
Our plum trees are about 5’ tall still, just got them year before last.
The Canadian government has behaved irresponsibly for weeks.
Why would they stop now?
Thank you Fred. I am now keyed in to dosage. (80iu/day)
The Stoick Market is in a sell off today here in the USA.Its caused by the risk of COVID19 going out of control.Too much travel into the US from infected areas via 2nd supposedly uninfected destinations, so people are escaping testing and quarantine. The bet on the markets is that the Coreonavirus will be turned loose in America this week.
The blame? UN WHO not acting soon enough internationally to impli, memt travel controls in and out of China.
Meanwhile Xi is sending China back to work? Madness.
Thanks Black Agnes.......and Slainte!
The Canadian government has behaved irresponsibly for weeks.>>>>>>>>>>>>>
What do you expect, the Prime Minister is a mere drama queen, an accident waiting to happen.
The Canadian military is another matter. They are taking the situation very seriously.....according to back channel unverifiable info.Thats leads one to ask , what do they know that we do not?
.
What I expect is that anyone who has ever publicly supported open borders will be facing mob vengeance within two months.
