But no divorce right?
What’s that old saying?
“I can do it in a week, but it’ll cost ya!”
It wouldn’t surprise me. We have fallen far from the more reliable sexual relations prior to the sexual revolution.
Who wants a dress possibly sewed by coronavirus-infected seamstresses? I heard the virus can survive on surfaces for a while. There must be plenty of U.S. sewn wedding dresses, wedding dress sharing groups, etc. Think out of the box. Or sit yourself down with your sewing machine.
I watched the first three seasons of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” — great and fascinating peeks into the “garment district” of NYC in the late 50s and early 60s. I imagine all that is gone now.

And dealing with bridezillas turns even the ones who do sew off from making wedding dresses.
(I had a small tailoring business for a short time. One of my rules was that I would never sew for a wedding. There’s just too much emotional drama involved.)
I did alterations for a bridal store once upon a time.
The only thing crazier than a bride is a bride mama.
I did have a boss lady who wasn’t afraid of speaking her mind when things got out of hand though: ‘we do alterations, not liposuction’.
You’d be surprised. There are still a lot of clothing factories in the US.
LOL!
Just in Time Manufacturing has an Achilles’ heel - - who woulda thunk it?
Do away with warehousing... it’s soooooooooooooooo much cheaper to have modern ‘supply chain management’ trick of dropping the product ‘in place’ within hours of it being needed.
The downside?
No wiggle room in the event of a supple chain collapse... There could be shortages soon - and price increases in keeping with scarcity.
There are also a whole lot of seamstresses in Mexico!! The garment district in LA is loaded with seamstresses!!!
We got married in Jeans/Sneakers/Sweaters - on the beach with bonfires, hot dogs, marshmallows...
