Sen. Lindsey Graham Was 'In The Loop' On Ukraine Scheme, Says Lev Parnas
HuffPost ^ | January 31, 2020 | Mary Papenfuss

Rudy Giuliani’s indicted business associate Lev Parnas accused Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) of being “in the loop” on the scheme to pressure Ukraine to launch an investigation into unfounded accusations against former Vice President Joe Biden, a leading Democratic presidential candidate.

Parnas, a Florida businessman who had donated to President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, said he was “1 million percent” certain that Graham was aware of the Ukraine operation.

“Rudy told me not once but on several occasions that he spoke to Lindsey Graham about the situation, that Lindsey was always aware,” he told Anderson Cooper in a CNN interview Wednesday night. Graham was “aware of what was going on going back to at least 2018, maybe even earlier,” Parnas said. (Check out the video above beginning at 1:30.)

Parnas said it was “surreal” to watch Graham “talking about all the stuff, that this is a sham, this should go away” — when “at the end of the day he was in the loop just like everybody else.”

Graham could not immediately be reached for comment on Parnas’s allegations.

Wow! It’s beginning to sound like the entire Republican Party (except for Romney) was in on this.

Here come the schemes to go after the Senators.

That is probably the real basis for the sham impeachment effort. The Democrats want to use the impeachment trial and their related nonsense to go after Republicans.

Parnas seems like a lying opportunist. Maybe even a Democrat operative, or deep state asset.

So he didn’t actually see or hear Lindsay Graham say or acknowledge it - Just that he’s a billion percent certain he’s involved.

Don’t you think something like this should have come out as part of the House’ original investigation? Or maybe even during the Senate portion?

This sounds like just another paid for operative to smear somebody and blackmail them into committing a coup on the United States of America

Parnas can’t even testify in the Senate because of his ankle bracelet. Not exactly a credible source.

And the incompetent Trump administration forgot to notify the Ukrainian president that he was being pressured.

So Biden now has “unfounded accusations”?

How does that stack up against “debunked”? Is that better or worse for Biden? More serious or less serious?

These people just reflexively write that.

He’s saying that Trump had a plan to get the Ukrainians to go after the Bidens, and Lindsey Graham was in on it. This is to explain Graham’s support for Trump...Parnas is implying that Graham is a co-conspirator.

Everybody in the Trump admin was looking at the Ukrainian aid situation, quite legitimately, especially in the face of Biden’s boast and the connections of his son. This investigation started long before Joe Biden was even thought to be likely to be the candidate, btw, so I’ve never seen how they could claim there was anything political about it.

Why is it wrong for senators to know that President Trump is trying to investigate corruption?

There was an article in American Thinker (I think) a day or two ago that postulated that this is really all about preventing Trump’s judicial nominations from getting Senate confirmation. The Dems are scared to death how he is “packing” the judiciary branch with conservatives.

Unfortunately, there has never been an investigation of Biden. If there was, we would have solid evidence of his corruption, a Grand Jury and indictments. A forensic accountant would have a field day with Dad and Junior.

But there are three Democrat Senators that threatened to cut off aid to Ukraine if it didn’t start an investigation of Trump. So when does the Senate look at Mssrs. Durbin, Menendez, and Leahy?

If Trump can get impeached over someone’s “interpretation” of a phone call, I think a letter would be a more substantial piece of evidence.

Oh, wait, I forgot they’re Dems and the rules don’t apply to them.

Team Trump should go after corruption in the Republican Party first for 2 reasons.
1, corruption is corruption.
but
2, offer them a deal to rat out the big Rat’s.

It is weird. But all the people who worked for him in earlier careers seemed to have loved him. Maybe because they don’t like his pressure to perform? Don’t like the threat of their own corruption and crimes being exposed? Don’t want the fedgov gravy train derailed? It seems like all those who wind up hating him are prima donnas.

We hear all about the malcontents — maybe the loyalists are many and keep their mouths shut?
