Nunes: Schiff and Nadler Are ‘Going to Subpoena John Bolton’
Breitbart ^ | 31 Jan 2020 | Ian Hanchett

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes (R-CA) predicted that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) will subpoena former National Security Adviser John Bolton.

Nunes said, “I actually have some bad news for you tonight…the president’s going to be acquitted. But the problem is, this isn’t going to end. I just can’t imagine that Adam Schiff, after three-and-a-half years of this nonsense, and Jerry Nadler are not going to continue this, right? They’re going to go back and they’re going to subpoena John Bolton. We’re going to have the same exact thing that you’ve been seeing for the last three-and-a-half years. I just think you should prepare.”

Nunes knows. The 'rats are in a trap. They went "all in" and don't have an exit.

Let them. Trump exercises Executive Privilege and the court fight takes well into his next term.

Nadler and Schiff look like a bad remake of Le Mis.

This will be interesting in light of Bolton's press release. The one where he said now that there is a trial, he will testify.

STATEMENT OF JOHN R. BOLTON

Posted on January 6, 2020

During the present impeachment controversy, I have tried to meet my obligations both as a citizen and as former National Security Advisor. My colleague, Dr. Charles Kupperman, faced with a House committee subpoena on the one hand, and a Presidential directive not to testify on the other, sought final resolution of this Constitutional conflict from the Federal judiciary. After my counsel informed the House committee that I too would seek judicial resolution of these Constitutional issues, the committee chose not to subpoena me. Nevertheless, I publicly resolved to be guided by the outcome of Dr. Kupperman's case.

But both the President and the House of Representatives opposed his effort on jurisdictional grounds, and each other on the merits. The House committee went so far as to withdraw its subpoena to Dr. Kupperman in a deliberate attempt to moot the case and deprive the court of jurisdiction. Judge Richard Leon, in a carefully reasoned opinion on December 30, held Dr. Kupperman's case to be moot, and therefore did not reach the separation-of-powers issues.

The House has concluded its Constitutional responsibility by adopting Articles of Impeachment related to the Ukraine matter. It now falls to the Senate to fulfill its Constitutional obligation to try impeachments, and it does not appear possible that a final judicial resolution of the still-unanswered Constitutional questions can be obtained before the Senate acts.

Accordingly, since my testimony is once again at issue, I have had to resolve the serious competing issues as best I could, based on careful consideration and study. I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify.

I hope they continue to pursue their endless investigation. The American people want to put this behind and move on. Republican candidates will be able to run on the fact that the Democrats care nothing about any problems that face this country they just want to get Trump.

95% of incumbants are reelected, and these two, coming from Burbank & Manhattan, are shoo-ins.

Squash Bolton’s book waiting for security reviews.

The excuse will be the pending leak investigation about the book contents.

Seems a great way to entertain people during the summer period. Can we have more Russian collusion, or Ukrainian corruption sprinkled in as well?

Schiff could be elected Emperor of California, his seat is safe until Feinstein dies and he goes to the Senate.

Nadler on the other hand could be AOC’d at the drop of a hat. The demographics of his district have changed substantially, find and fund a POC and he’s a goner.

Trump’s playing these people like sheet music. And they CANNOT help themselves. Much like the Jap Kamikazes in WWII, they’d rather die in a ball of fire than admit they made a mistake.

They have no choice. If they fold now it's "game over". They might have had a little wiggle room after the Mueller fiasco but it's gone now.

“Politics is no longer the answer to our problems.”

Really! For 3 years the House Dems have been digging, investigating, whining, accusing, pontificating, clamoring, searching and impeaching. In other words, they haven’t been legislating. Zip, zero, nada. Meanwhile, our President has gotten more things done, taken our country to heights never before seen. He has stoked the fires of our economy like never before, restored our international posture to one that shows steel in its spine, hunted down and destroyed our enemies, informed our friends that they’d better play nicer. The list goes on.

Who needs “government” when you have a president like that!

Perhaps beat little Schitt to the punch. Linda Graham could preempt this by calling him to testify before the Senate. Make his testimony public record instead of secret as would be Schiff’s preferred venue. Bolton can be prosecuted for false statements should his testimony differ from transcripts or recordings of their conversations. Completely remove the “Bolton Arrow” from Liddle Adam’s quiver of lies. Call Schiff’s Bolton bluff before he can use it to concoct another BS impeachment scam. Might not be the preferred method to head this off but would at least give the last resort option of taking control away from the corrupt House Members.

Linda Graham said the other day that he would call Hunter Biden
in a separate hearing but not as a witness in the impeachment trial.
Does anybody believe Linda will follow thru?
I don’t.

All of Graham's puffery will now fade into the fog. No one will be called and no one will be held accountable for espionage and a coup attempt against America.

Apart from a couple of flashes of solid support, Linda Gramnesty has not been a reliable conservative soldier through all the turmoil of the last 12 years.
There is no reason to believe he will, in fact, follow through on anything he has said recently.

The only point to hearing him is to puff up a sham accusation. Let the DEMs have at him. He won't be the first to testify out of school and contrary to honorable practice. Kent, Sondland, Vindman, and so on.
