[Think back to when you were 16. There were plenty of brats, creeps, and know-it-alls in their mid teens. She is not above reproach because of her age.]

These kids are going through a phase. Nothing wrong with that. The problem with this girl is that she wants to make major changes to our lives, and wants to do it without any backtalk from us, like we’re the children and she’s the adult. Trump’s response was just perfect.

My point is that she is of the age at which her parents ought to be encouraging her to be joyful, open minded, and happy - rather than becoming a dogmatic figurehead at 16 years of age.

Having ridden on German rail, I will offer this observation. You don’t just show up at some station and buy a ticket for tomorrow, even for first-class, and expect seats to be available. You pay the extra 5 to 10 Euro, and thus you get the reserved seat.

In this case, this kid’s handlers rigged up a 30 to 38 hour railway trip (all first class), without any reserved seats. I can tell you on weekends...even in first class, particularly from Munich to Frankfurt or Berlin to Hamburg, you will be challenged to find a regular seat or a first class seat...so reservations matter.

Also, on the cost factor...a round-trip airline ticket (tourist ticket) from Madrid to Oslo....would have been 170 Euro. But for one-way on the railway, at first-class? She probably paid near 700 Euro for this Madrid to Oslo ticket.

The last thing on Earth that I’d do...is ride 30-odd hours on rail, avoiding a 3-hour airline flight.

I have travelled extensively by train in Europe for years. I can’t recall seeing a set belt.

The one time I did see people sitting in the aisles of an overcrowded train was out of Fankfurt. Spring break had just started and kids were headed to Britain. The train was so crowded that my wife and I could not get to our first class seats. I sat in the aisle on our luggage.

During that trip we never saw anyone to check our tickets and border customs did not bother to check passports on the borders.

Well, you sure don’t hold back, now do you? Lol!
Sometimes, I agree with your view, other times, I just wait for this flavor of the week, this Empty Vessel to fade away
from the headlines. At least we’re not seeing people like
David Hogg (the so called gun activist) very much during the school year.

You will know when Gretamania is on the wane.
One clue will be when her handlers begin to get close and sometimes negative publicity. That includes her parents.

Greta claimed there were 250,000 at the NYC Climate Week protest; MSM reported it, mostly unquestioningly.
authorities later said it was around 60,000, but most MSM didn’t correct:

Greta was even worse in Madrid, claming 500,000 when authorities said there were 15,000:

btw Greenpeace were one of the organisers of the Madrid protest, so they would inflate the numbers, just as Greta would. it’s all fake PR for a fake gloBULL warming hoax.

That’s a long trip to make via train just for appearances.
I’m sure she has the resources to fly whenever her group thinks they can get away with it.

She made a big propaganda deal about this (staged ) supposed lack of a seat for poor little Greta.

You’re right, but I’m thinking her parents are worse than she is. Just as bad as the maniacs we have that think a 4 yr old should choose their gender, then we find out that it’s the parents pushing that on them.

Yup. But of course, the Left doesn’t care about that as long as its agenda is pushed.

Then in another year she’ll be an adult. If this kids got any brains she’ll keep her mouth shut or she’ll find out what a libel suit can do or a punch in the mouth.

So far, the Greta-adventure team has not opted a single time for flights. Whether she can sustain this adventure-attitude or not...is a question mark.

She now returns to Sweden....five months into the school year. I have my doubts that she did any tutor business while on this save-the-Earth tour.

Over the past six months, I would suggest that a fair number of Swedes have opted-out of the pro-Greta theme, and now question the whole discussion.

I would venture to say, Greta Thunderberg is receiving substantial backing, and is not who everyone thinks she is.

We have a 16 year female from Europe, drive across the U.S. in a Tesla, trashing the interior of the car, and using plastic everything, and no one asking any questions!

Parents from another continent, letting a mentally challenged 16 year girl drive all over North America in a Tesla?

Hmmm...

She’s an actress...or rather, a sock puppet...

All of those bags filled with stuff represents a large carbon footprint. How many resources and energy goes into making one shirt - and she has SO many. Of course all that extra weight makes the train, vehicle, or airplane use more energy as well.

I truly believe that in the next few years, after her role in climate change is done, she will attempt to reclaim the limelight by announcing she is a transgender boy. She already has Asbergers, which is an existing mental illness that is present in many girls that have recently and suddenly decided that they are “boys”.
