It is coming, its just a matter of when.
Unless we have left the Quaternary - a geologic age of cyclic continental ice sheets. (Note cyclic means they repeat !) I see no physical evidence for that! So we left a glaciation some 20-25K years ago we will enter another at some point. It doesn’t matter how much we pollute or don’t pollute, how much governments spend or don’t spend. Old Man Sol’s variability, cosmic ray showers, Mother Earth’s continental drift & other geologic activity are completely indifferent!
It would be interesting if the archaeologists could find some PRE-ICE AGE, the last one, remnants of civilization that was wiped out by the great ice sheets....................
I don’t necessarily buy this interpretation but there is this book that implies are least a Bronze Age level of technology for said civilizations. Book is called “Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings”.

Think of moving the Bronze Age back 10 to 15 thousand years and have it around the equator. The only remaining temperate area. The ending of the ice age flooded these people out. Moved the shoreline in, etc. There are some “sophisticated looking” temples and other structures that are close to shore but underwater in the Indian ocean plus I think I have read about some in Indonesia, etc. The one’s in India seem to predate the coming of Aryan civilization
Of course its a seismically active area so they could still post-date the last glaciation. Also I don’t seel ancient people short in their cleverness when it comes to building, doing, voyaging, what eve rthey feel they need to do!
