Yes, it has been common practice for Muslims to marry their first cousins for over 14 centuries. As a result, mental retardation, physical deformities, and mental illness is much higher among Muslims than other people.
Correct. One defective X chromosome is sufficient to pass the disease to a son, or make a daughter a carrier.
Cousin marriage there isn’t just the norm. It is incentivized by a dowry system that says you don’t have to pay one if you marry a paternal cousin. And she is incentivized to go along with it, because she wouldn’t have to cover in front of her father in law or brother in laws and he (as her uncle or cousin) can be her chaperone.
lots of inbreeding i nthe middle east- and the side effects are devestating - just watched youtube vid on how more than 1/2 of british pakistanis engage in interbreeding and what it does to them- blind, deaf, etc

Yes, it was passed by Queen Victoria to her daughter who married the Russian and passed it to Alexei. It goes through the female line.
Queen Victoria had a son who was disabled also.
I have lots of royalty in my ancestry and one other trait is long fingers. All my family have long fingers. I believe it is from the Scottish side and not the Norman side.
First thought when reading the Australian guy of putting his butt in a trash can and rolling around was of Chuckles. They look a lot alike.
That didn’t decrease their fertility.
Another inherited malformation is..Dupuytren’s contracture, all my family has it.
Plantagenet’s had it, as did a lot of the Stuarts.
Of course it is not uncommon in Northern European ancestry.
Yes a mutation. I don’t think her parents carried it,unless her father was not her biological father.
Yes. Imagine if the czars children had lived and had children.
Trumps mom was Scottish. He doesn’t have long fingers.
“...unless her father was not her biological father.”
Well, statistically, half of his daughters would have been carriers & so would have had a 50% chance of having a hemophiliac son. If Alexei had lived long enough to marry, all of his daughters would have been carriers, but his sons would have been healthy, assuming that the woman he married wasn’t a carrier.
SO?
So unfortunately the tragedy of their murders stopped hemophilia in their line.
Hemophilia is a sex-linked trait carried on the X chromosome making it dominant in males and recessive in females. Baldness and color blindness are also sex-linked.
In the Russian line it did.
So unfortunately the tragedy of their murders stopped hemophilia in their line.
Some of his sisters apparently survived the first fusillade. They had hidden their jewelry in the seams of their clothing, perhaps the most expensive bullet-proof clothing ever devised. Of course their murderers shot them all again in their heads.
Yes all true including the jewelry. Very sad.
