A Texas teacher who lost her job after asking President Trump on Twitter to remove the “illegal students from Mexico” from her school has won an appeal to get her job back.
Texas Education Agency Commissioner Mike Morath ruled Monday that the series of offensive tweets sent in May by Georgia Clark — an English teacher at Carter-Riverside High School in Fort Worth — were protected by the First Amendment, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Clark, whose Twitter account has since been deleted, is now entitled to return to the classroom with back pay and employment benefits or district officials can fork over one year’s salary.
The teacher was fired in June after seeking assistance from Trump in a barrage of tweets that she said she thought were private messages to the commander-in-chief, Clark later told a district investigator.

She sounds rather like the people who thought President Obama was going to pay their mortgages and buy them gas.

Good for her that she got her job back, and with all back pay included. But that school still does not want her back.
She would realistically be better off looking to transfer to another school.
The School officials at her past job won’t forgive her for outsmarting (and exposing) their bias, or for overturning their decision. They would very likely get even in petty little ways, or push her to accept early retirement.

That's the first thing that jumped out at me. When I worked in the Fourth Estate, that kind of crap was cause for being fired.
Political speech is the exact speech the First Amendment was intended to protect.
But the Democrat perverts decided it only protected pornography.
We certainly can’t have a teacher advocating the application of the rule of law.
But cheering on Antifa beatdowns is O.K.
