There is a blind gossip item that she is keeping all the secrets in a diary.

They will have to kill her like the big rumor of Diana. Don’t think they will try that. So there will be a big payout.

Effectively the Duke was told to bow out gracefully. They agreed he could release a statement (posted backthread) saying it was his decision but it was the Queen who told him to do it.

If Andrew had any honor and such he would do the decent thing and end it. He would still get a nice royal funeral and proper send off.

Yep. And that is the Queen’s job.

When the Queen is gone the Monarchy will fall I think...Charles, like his Uncle Edward, is so wacky he'll have trouble directing things to any respect.....only chance it has to stand is with William and Kate.

That’s strike two partner. Andy is Lizzie’s son, not grandson

Instead of the Tudors, bring in the Fordors, that way it would be a coup without a coupe.

She's a Queen first and mother second....always has been. At 92 she still remains the only Royal that knows her role. Though William and Kate appear understand their roles and carry them out pretty well.

However the idea that the British STILL are willing to honor and fund this Obsolete Dynasty is beyond my understanding.... it's all show and tell.

I wonder if Ghislane Maxwell’s having had access to Buckingham Palace thanks to Andrew figures into this decision in any way...

Andrew should move to the US and declare himself a Democrat. That’s the quickest way to get the press on your side.

Compare and contrast how this pecadillo is treated as a disgrace by UK, but the US media continues to lionize the Clinton crime family.

The Firm has high handed control over everything..except Hapless Harry and MeAgain

The article mentions Andrew's jealously of his brother after having been next in line after Charles for the first 22 years of his life, only to be sucessively bumped down, first by William and Harry, and then by William's children. This alone should be a lesson not only to Harry that he is not the big cheese his wife thought she married, but also to William as he manages the education of his heir George and his "spares, " Charlotte and Louis.

I'm not a Saturday Night Live fan, but Fred Armisen and Bill Hader do a wonderful parody of the Queen and Philip respectively. I would love to see them parody the Prince Andrew intervention.

“...But he will keep getting cash handouts from his mother’s Duchy of Lancaster estate, which turned a £21.7million profit last year and provides the Queen and her children with a private income.

Andrew will also keep his grace-and-favour Royal Lodge home, which he has spent £7.5million renovating in recent years and taxpayer-funded police bodyguards.

The royal residence in Windsor Great Park was gifted to him by Her Majesty in 2003 when he split from the Duchess of York and the couple sold their Sunninghill Park mansion in Ascot to a billionaire Kazakh oil tycoon who paid £15million - £3million over asking price - and then razed it to the ground....”

This is hilarious.

Thank you for posting.

It was my pleasure once to have a meal with Philip.

He was very clever and funny... And he even used a little bit of salty language!

I was younger... This was 1989.

I always sort of felt Charles and Andrew, conversely, seemed stupider.

Much stupider.

As in... On “the scale,” or “the spectrum” somewhere.

Anyway, Philip, as I remember him, was delightful.
