Ever been to or thru Camden? Don’t try either.

A very low percentage of folks that go TO Camden, get THRU Camden unharmed.

In had to drive thru Camden at night years ago. I was alone and my DH had said to keep off a specific street. Guess what? I found myself on that street and was lost. I was going to stop the car and look at a map ( before GPS and cell phones) but finally saw an arrow for the Garden State Parkway. WHEW!!

If you come off of the Ben Franklin Bridge out of Philly (there's no toll coming into NJ) head immediately for Route 30 or I-676 (the latter feeds into I-76, which feeds into Route 42, which feeds into the A.C. Expy.) Both roads will take you right out of Camden.

Garden state parkway is no where near Camden. There are signs after the bridge(s). May have a GSP logo on them.

Pleasantville is a complete $hithole. I only go back to the 70’s but it was the same then. They just mooch off the Atlantic City funding but never clean up anything.

Pt. Pleasant on The Jersey Shore is a nice place. Pt. Pleasant Beach is even nicer.

Between Montclair and Bloomfield. Between them is Glen Ridge. Small quiet town with gas lamps. North NJ is not like lovely Cape May. But we are not Philly/Eagle fans up here.
