No mention in the article about Google rigging their search results.

Worthless.

Android ========> iPhone

Currently using a windows phone with default apps installed. It might be the most secure phone in the world.

But that phone will die one day. I will have to pick my next phone.

I have been debating if PureOS/Librem was really secure since it built on Android and develop in Germany.

I am thinking I will get an Apple Phone since I can develop for it and Apple appears to be more trustworthy then Google Android.

No native Linux client currently, web based only. ProtonVPN works just fine on Linux, just have to use CLI in a terminal, no native Linux client for that either. There is one for iPhone and Android and it works just fine

I had an Android (Google) phone, what a failure that was. Had an iPad at the time and swore I would get an iPhone when my Samsung Android died. Best decision ever. I love my iPad, love my iPhone, both hassle free in every aspect.

It’s web based. It’s OS agnostic

I use Opera and Pale Moon browsers, but have (Google’s) Chrome as a back-up. Everytime I run CCleaner, it finds lots of trackers from Chrome, though the browser hasn’t been used in many months. I always have them quarantined and deleted, but they come back.

Never been to FarceButt.

On Line2, I would love to port my biz number away from google voice. I hear you pay to “unlock” it from GV.

I also have an obihai box at home that is using my google voice number to a POTS phone.

Any thoughts about the obihai box and line2 service? We aren’t big enough to use grasshopper or mightycall. I was also looking at “sideline”

I’m already paying for a VOIP number from my ISP that I use as a fax number.

Don’t want to pay $39 a month for a landline.

Doesn’t Duck-Duck-Go leverage Google though? How are the results different? :-O

“Anyone ever heard of search engine ask.com?”

I’ve seen it around for a few years, but never have used it.
