On Sunday’s broadcast of CNN’s “State of the Union,” former National Intelligence Director James Clapper commented on the reported death Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS.
Clapper warned the death could “galvanize” ISIS.
Clapper said, “What is going to be interesting is to the extent to which this negatively affects ISIS or does it galvanize ISIS, the remnants of ISIS, which still survives as an ideology and has franchises in other places besides Syria.”
He added, “ISIS is more than just Baghdadi, as important as he was. 14,000 to 18,000 fighters yet remaining and the franchise are branches in other places — notably, Afghanistan where of course we still have forces. ISIS did participate in losing leadership. So they decentralized and groomed people to assume the role. Now I don’t know that they have anybody would have the symbolic importance of Bagdadi, but I don’t think we can say at this point that we can stop worrying about ISIS.”

Notice, all these Obama appointees do not give an iota of credit. They all warn of dire consequences.
Obama appointed retired senior officers all saying, oh no!!! President Trump insulted ISIS. This is terrible.
We treated ISIS/ Al Qaeda with respect. Trump is a bad man. He humiliates them. He should not humiliate them.
People, it is Flag Officers like this that are completely responsible for the fact we have not decisively defeated an enemy since WWII.
There are NO Pattons anymore. There are NO Chester Pullers anymore. There are simply politically correct effete Perfumed Princes of the Pentagon types. Such losers are dominant in the Pentagon.
I spent 26 years of the prime of my life serving under such pathetic excuses for men such as these. Always faithful and always praying that we would one day elect a President who would PURGE such worthless appointees, and Flag Officers from our ranks.

By this logic we shouldn’t have killed any monster.
I think this is their whole attitude toward Islam and why they’ve been bending over after 911. Heck...we even put Obama in as POTUS and look where that got us....deeper in debt and infiltrated by a bunch of America hating “immigrants”.
More permanent results may be obtained by killing islamists instead of merely "fighting islamists". President Trump has learned this.
