Pelosi Leads High-Level Bipartisan Delegation to Jordan

OCTOBER 19, 2019
PRESS RELEASE

Amman, Jordan — Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading a bipartisan Congressional delegation to Jordan for meetings with King Abdullah II and top U.S. government officials.

“This evening, our bipartisan delegation was honored to meet with His Majesty King Abdullah II, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and senior Jordanian officials,” Speaker Pelosi said.  “We expressed our continued appreciation for the strategic partnership between the U.S. and Jordan and engaged in a constructive dialogue on regional stability, counterterrorism, security cooperation, Middle East peace, economic development and other shared challenges.”

“Our bipartisan delegation is visiting Jordan at a critical time for the security and stability of the region,” said Speaker Pelosi.  “With the deepening crisis in Syria after Turkey’s incursion, our delegation has engaged in vital discussions about the impact to regional stability, increased flow of refugees, and the dangerous opening that has been provided to ISIS, Iran and Russia.”

At the U.S. Embassy in Amman, the delegation received detailed briefings by Chargé d’Affaires Karen Sasahara, senior diplomats and military officials and had the opportunity to thank members of the U.S. Marine detachment.

“As ever, we bring the deep gratitude of the U.S. Congress and the American people to the brave men and women serving our country overseas,” Speaker Pelosi concluded.

The Members of the bipartisan Congressional delegation are:

  • Speaker Nancy Pelosi
  • Ranking Member Mac Thornberry, House Armed Services Committee
  • Chairman Eliot Engel, House Foreign Affairs Committee
  • Chairman Bennie Thompson, Homeland Security Committee
  • Chairman Adam Schiff, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
  • Congressman Ron Kind, House Ways and Means Committee
  • Congresswoman Susan Davis, House Armed Services Committee
  • Congressman Stephen Lynch, Chairman, House Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on National Security
  • Congresswoman Elaine Luria, House Armed Services Committee

It's odd - it's like Nancy WANTS to be charged with Logan Act violations so she can claim persecution.

I've seen comments that in Jordanian society, a woman would not be regarded as a legitimate envoy (e.g., a woman would be regarded as "less than a horse or donkey").

Here's a picture of the Jordanian leader:

Did she clear that with the president beforehand, or is she engaging in rogue activities, which could hurt the US?

There’s no way the president would ever want the woman who aspires to become president by removing him and his VP to then go to Jordan and “represent”. I think she’s trying to portray him as failing (e.g., she acts like she’s needed to take his place) but this is so odd that I think she wants him to react to her. Note that picture of her pointing her finger, stomping her foot, and sashaying out of that meeting last week? So now she does what is probably a violation of the Logan Act, or at the very least, a public display meant to undermine his presidency, and then if he responds she claims he’s “threatened” etc.

Some say Barr’s inquiries overseas will have implicated her so she’s raising her profile to claim victimhood if any questions about her actions come her way.

We visited Jordan. Petra was wonderful. The Arab alphabet never included a "P" so the Arabs call it BETRA.

I wonder what Pelosi will make of it. She'll lie and say it was WONderful.

Truth be known, it's DUSTY, this Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan--"Hash you might" have expected.

Pardon the pun.

I guess only Thornberry is the token that makes it bipartisan ... ha. What a joke...it’s partisan as hell.

I’m sure much of the conversations, between NanFranFreako and foreign contacts, will be promptly leaked.

Luria is my Rat weasel Representative. I sent an e-mail asking why she’s poking around in the Middle East when there neighborhoods in her district that flood every time it rains. I told her to fix the drainage problem in her district.

No response yet from Team Luria. The local “press” has been touting Luria’s spouting off about “Impeach Trump”, isn’t she cute ? Strong Woman hype, blah blah blah
