Things are more fluid than they seem. That’s my impression of Washington right now. There’s something quiet going on, a mood shift.
Impeachment of course will happen. The House will support whatever charges are ultimately introduced because most Democrats think the president is not fully sane and at least somewhat criminal. Also they’re Democrats and he’s a Republican. The charges will involve some level of foreign-policy malfeasance.
The ultimate outcome depends on the Senate. It takes 67 votes to convict. Republicans control the Senate 53-47, and it is unlikely 20 of them will agree to remove a president of their own party. An acquittal is likely but not fated, because we live in the age of the unexpected

President Trump is far from safe in the Senate. The GOP’s disdain and hatred for its voters is the most powerful force in American politics. Not even losing twice to a disaster like Obama put a dent in it. It’s sickening.
No one is talking about the investigative reports and indictments that will drop soon. RATs will be busy exposing the corruption, treason, and sedition of other RATs in order to get lesser prison terms. The DemocRATs won’t be in the drivers seat on anything much less their political antics on impeachment.

Agreed. I said it on another thread. President Trump has threatened the existence of perpetual war. That upsets people in Washington on both sides of the aisle.
Both sides are ok with having commoners die for their profiteering.
I really hope that there will be arrests and trials of the criminals in Congress who are using impeachment as a means of regime change. It is nothing more than a coup. I don’t mean they should be arrested necessarily for opposing the President but for the crimes they are covering up by making all the drama.
I would never assume the Senate would not remove Trump.
There are lots of GOP Senators that don’t want us to stop the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).
It’s been their life’s work to fundamentally transform the USA into North Mexico against the will of the citizens.

go ahead..over turn the will of 63 million voters, with the back drop of a “russia collusion” hoax the last 2 years..all layered by the allowed blatant law breaking by millions of illegal aliens...and topped off with the stated threat of disarming the population...they are playing with fire...
