Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) today suggested that terrorists in custody should be afforded the same "due process" under the Uniform Code of Military Justice as American troops in a military court.

So if Schiff wants to give terrorists the same legal protections as GIs have, shouldn't the president (CiC) have the same rights as terrorists, such as knowing the charges against him per Article 32 ?

Keep talking pencil neck. You’re assuring a Trump 2020 win.

If terrorists sign the Geneva Convention, and wear identifying uniforms, then they too can be treated like captured combatants.

Partisans in civilian clothing are subject to be executed out of hand.

That said, I think this is a great plank for the Dimms to run on.

This is simple, No Quarter Given.

Is it me or do others too just want to squish this bug eyed bug every time I see his hideous picture.

100% agree. Put that in the Dem’s 2020 plank right behind after-birth abortions, forgiving all student loans, forgiving all medical debt, 93.5% tax on billionaires, fracking prohibition, gun confiscation, and tearing down the wall. I personally think that is a great way to win in 2020

Amen, ReElement.

Instead Article 13 of the First and Second Geneva Conventions and Article 3 of the Fourth Convention must be consulted. Terrorists are not the armed forces, militias, volunteer corps, insurgents, or freedom fighters of any country or authority. They are not an organized resistance movement carrying arms openly and have no distinctive identifier. Terrorists are not even spies and saboteurs covertly destroying the infrastructure, industrial capacity or armed forces of an opponent. The focus of their campaigns is the murder and torture of people defined as Protected Persons by the Conventions. Terrorists seldom if ever follow the customs of war. There is no basis to consider these human abominations prisoners of war subject to the UCMJ.

They are democrats. Just because it is illegal and covered under the Geneva Convention doesn’t mean that it has to be followed....geez

I always like to note their ongoing commitment to dishonesty, so I won’t be tempted to believe their statements about things I have not researched.

so basically, he thinks terrorists should be afforded the same “due process” - more due process than the president.

The only courtesy I’d give a terrorist is a swift death from a round in the head. They don’t deserve anything else.
